I appreciated her changing the subject but was surprised when she asked me about the photos.

"So out of all the ones that have been in your father's office why these?" Petra asked.

"This will probably sound strange but I find a quiet peacefulness in them. The colors are so vibrant and she captured the play of light through the trees perfectly. When I look at them I feel like I'm there, like I could just reach out and touch a leaf," I said before looking down at my almost empty plate. I probably sounded like a wierdo right now.

"She would love to know that you feel that way. That's what an artist hopes for - for others to be able to experience and feel what they felt," she replied and I looked up at her, our eyes locking. I could read the honesty in her eyes and breathed a sigh of relief that she understood what I had meant.

"You should see Adira's private collection. I've only seen some of it but let me tell you it was amazing. Well maybe you have seen them," I laug
