The vacation quickly came to an end, and we were getting ready to return home. Everything would soon go back to its previous routine.

While we waited for our flight, Sophie was engrossed in a video on her phone, headphones in, not looking up.

Suddenly, a hand slipped into mine. Startled, I realized it was Tessa's. I briefly held her hand before letting go, afraid Sophie might notice.

My phone screen lit up with a message from Tessa.

[Goodbye, my dear. I'll miss you terribly. Until we meet again.]

She added a kissing emoji. She was a temptress to the end. In just a few days, she had given me the thrill of a holiday fling, an experience I kept replaying in my mind.

Once we returned to normal life, I found myself fixated on Tessa. She felt like an addictive drug, and my thoughts often drifted back to our encounters. In contrast, my interest in Sophie waned.

Finally, one day, I could not resist anymore and decided to reach out to Tessa. Just then, a message from Sophie popped up.
