57: Bed Partner

I knew I wasn’t in my bed when I woke up. Everything seemed off the second I opened my eyes. It didn’t even have anything to do with the dark…everything in the room.

Just something didn’t feel like I was used to. And instead of panicking and looking for how to get the hell out of there. I was looking for how to cozy up to the big warm teddy bear next to me.

I think my not getting out of bed had more to do with the teddy keeping me down.

Not, not teddy. The second that sandalwood scent trickles into my nose, I knew it wasn’t a teddy. Why the hell did I even think that? I didn’t even have that many pillows on my bed, least of all a teddy.

Xander. I felt the urge to pluck his eyes out in case you were wondering. He was happily sleeping. With his big ass tree trunk of a hand pinning me down.

I wanted to get out of the bed, but I was also scared to wake him up. Or at least I told myself that.

It had nothing to do with how good he felt. And did I need to mention his scent? Amazing.
