Oneil couldn’t deny how Victor’s questions influenced his interaction to Jillian. He was more alert on attending to the details of her words instead of making friendly responses to her. He went on letting her tell how fast had the news arrived to her since Niana was also concerned for Oneil’s situation. Jillian continued talking while arranging the foods she brought. Oneil suddenly got alarmed when Jillian decided to take off the flowers from the vase to chang it with the new ones.
“Where are you going to put that?” Oneil stopped her.
“I must throw this away. I have new ones here.”
Oneil gestured for her to put it back. “Just let that sit there. Don’t touch the vase.” It was Essi’s flowers for him. Chrysanthemums, carnations and peonies beautifully combined to bring colors to his room.
