Letting go of her hand was one of the hardest things to do. I walked back to the room the clinic staff put us in to wait for updates. There is a phone in there that has a direct line to the surgical suite. When I got there, I was met with nothing but long faces. I said, "Really guys? I honestly don't think I can take eight hours of this heavy feeling." Luna Abby said, "That's how long it could take?" I nodded my head. I said, "he said that it's such a delicate surgery, he has to move very precisely. If he moves too quickly, or jerks his hand even a millimeter, he could paralyze her." When we got to the dungeon, I realized, there was no way for me to go by myself. Conri carried me in one hand and my chair in his other until we were at the bottom of the steps. Wow. Just wow. That is all I can seem to say these days. My triplets, Jack, Josh, and Brianda are already thirteen years old. Niki is fifteen, Luna is sixteen, and Caleb and Kurt are seventeen now. I woke up this morning to the most exciting and terrifying thought of my life. Tomorrow is my wedding! I am excited and anxious and scared to death all at the same time!
