Ashina's Quest: Chapter 42
Conri's POV
Letting go of her hand was one of the hardest things to do. I walked back to the room the clinic staff put us in to wait for updates. There is a phone in there that has a direct line to the surgical suite. When I got there, I was met with nothing but long faces. I said, "Really guys? I honestly don't think I can take eight hours of this heavy feeling." Luna Abby said, "That's how long it could take?" I nodded my head. I said, "he said that it's such a delicate surgery, he has to move very precisely. If he moves too quickly, or jerks his hand even a millimeter, he could paralyze her."
