The Witch's Window: Preface

In a tiny run-down shack, in the middle of the forest, screams were heard as a woman lay on a bed, giving birth. When the baby made her entrance into the world, the mother looked at her with disdain, and picked her up. As she walked out the door, she chuckled as she pinched the nose of the severed head which belonged to the inhabitant of this shack, "You would still be alive if you had just stayed gone." She walked out the door, with the baby, and turned around and pointed at the house to set the house on fire. Then she looked at the baby with a sneer, "Now to get rid of you.”

As she walked through the forest, she dropped her into a pile of leaves as she walked past it. She walked away mumbling, “I’m not going to kill you yet. I may need you in the future.”
