The Witch's Window: Ch. 6
After Koda left, Elliot and I went to his office and Elliot called his dad. We made arrangements for the alliance to meet in our home tomorrow evening. Next, we went to each of the bedrooms, and decided that the one next to his office made the most sense and it was large enough to hold forty people seated in chairs, with room to spare. I decided that I would make a variety of snacks for everyone to munch on during the meeting.
Elliot smiled, “Baby, I love the way you want to take care of people, but they aren’t coming here for snacks.” I laughed, “I know, but many people think better when they have something sweet to munch on. It’s just a variety of cookies, cupcakes, that kind of thing. It won’t take long.” He approached me and wrapped his arms around me, “You really are something else. I’m trying to make sure you are safe and all you can think of is what to feed everyone.” I laugh, “It’s not that I’m not worried about my safety, I just trust you with my life… literally.” I

As I stand before these ladies, I can’t believe how quickly they stepped up to help me. There was no hesitation at all. I ask my mom, “What is the spell?” My mom smiles, “Let me do it. It has been three days since I stored my magic, and I really don’t miss it as much as I thought I would. My mom did such an amazing job raising me to be able to survive without it, that it’s just second nature now. I’m sure she probably knew this would happen. The way Elliot yelled my name, I honestly thought something was seriously wrong. When I walked in the door, I could tell that it was something totally the opposite.
