“Goodness. I think she had so much fun to the point that she fell asleep,” Aunt Melva commented while watching her own daughter sleep on the sofa at Sean's home. Claire was peacefully sleeping and I don't think she plans to wake up for dinner. It's a good thing that Sean made sure that she's full earlier.

“Of course, she did.” I replied.

“Dahlia, I don't know how to thank you and Mr. Cohen. But you don't have to buy all these things for Claire. You know, I can't afford this. I'm afraid that she might get used to all this wealth. I can't provide her with that, Dahlia.”

I only gave her a soft smile as my hand landed on hers.

“From now on, if you need anything, especially if it is for Claire, don't hesitate to call me, okay? You're not alone now, Aunt.”

We're not alone now. I don't have any family aside from them. I will be willing to give everything if it is for them.
