Chapter 24

I stirred awake, my body aching from the physical activity of the previous night. There was a weariness that lingered in my limbs and an irritation that had taken over me after all I had experienced. I looked back on what had happened, remembered how everything went down, and how it all ended.

I glance to the side and see Aiden there, just like always. His hands are on me, one firmly grasped around my waist while the other seems intent on exploring my breast. My thighs feel the weight of his large legs as they press against me, trapping me between his two big arms and his equally sizeable body. I'm aware that this is something we've done countless times before, but it still fills me with a sense of warmth that I can't shake off no matter how hard I try.

My eyes instantly snap shut when I think back to the time when Aiden had the audacity to bring another woman into his home and allow her to take control over him. I feel my heart sink into my stomach as a knot of emotions form there. T
