Chapter 29

I stayed in bed for a few more moments, watching Aiden sleep peacefully after all the passion we had just shared. Eventually, I decided to move ever so carefully, ensuring not to jostle him or disturb his slumber. I reached over and grabbed some clothes in near silence before getting up and out of the bed. As much as I could have stayed there longer, I knew it was time for me to fix everything.

I walked over to the cabinet and slowly opened it, a mix of emotions flooding over me as soon as our eyes met. A sense of shame came bubbling up unexpectedly and I found myself blushing with embarrassment.

Adam didn't say anything, but I noticed he was avoiding making eye contact with me. His face had turned a light shade of pink and he quickly stepped away from the cabinet. Following suit, I moved swiftly to guide him out of the room. We made our way into the hallway in an uncomfortable silence until finally we reach the front of his unit.

We were all standing there in stunned silence, unable
