Aria's POV.

"I was really hoping that this was an edited video but I guess we walked in right in time for the occasion." Mom spat.

The look on her face was unreadable, and so was Dad's as well.

Their gazes moved from Ryan to me, for several seconds without saying a word.

The silence was deafening, I wanted to say something but nothing could come out.

Ryan seemed lost as well, nothing came from him too.

We all wallowed in silence.

This is really messed up.

They weren't supposed to find out like this. This wasn't how Ryan and I planned to be outed.

It was the end of the vacation today and we had planned to tell them tonight.

Why does this have to happen now? And who is responsible for the video on their phone? Who sent it?

Who even recorded it?

This is an entirely new space for us, no one literally knows us so how come we got recorded? And how did the culprit get hold of our parents contact?

This was the reason I was scared to even do anything in the car in the first place, or

Thank goodness it was over the phone else this would have gotten a lot messier, Ryan's fury was getting out of hand by each passing second."You know I'm still mad at you for what you did, here I am suffocating myself with such heavy secret for your sake and you dare call me to be rude to me? If you don't start stating the reasons you called me, I'm going to hang up in you and I don't care how that makes you feel." She fired back at him.Okay, I have to step in now. "Hey Nadia." I tried to sound cheerful as I swiftly went to sit beside Ryan on the bed, taking the phone from him."I don't need any sort of greeting from any of you, what do you both want?" She spat.Ouch, that hurts."I'm sorry if we got you off on the wrong foot, Ryan is just pissed right now." I said. "And somehow, I'm the best person to vent his anger on?" She c

Aria's POV.Just as Ryan and I were pacing round the room, sweats trickling down our foreheads, the door flung open and Dad walked in. "Dad." I exclaimed, rushing towards him, but I halted halfway as I suddenly realized that things weren't the way they used to be, I was no longer his little princess. At least for the time being. The look on his face was a confirmation of my thoughts. Their was no trace of affection on his face unlike before. "Is Mom going to be okay?" I managed to ask."And now you suddenly care huh?" He snapped at me. Okay, this is definitely getting worse, Dad would never speak to me like this. "Dad please, can you let us explain? We.." "Please don't say anything to me right now, I don't want my anger to get worse than it is right now." He cut in swiftly. Well, it's going to take a lot to get rid of this situation. If Dad could be like this towards us then it's finished then, isn't it?"Could you at least let us know Mom's condition please? Aria's POV.The living room was a battlefield, every breath a struggle, I could literally hear the sound of my heart beating so hard against my chest. Ryan and I sat side by side on the couch, our shoulders hunched in fright, and our faces pale. Across from them, Dad and Mom loomed, their expressions a volatile mix of anger, confusion, and sheer devastation.Mom's pacing had turned frantic. She wrung her hands together, her voice rising and falling with the tide of her emotions. "I don't even know where to start. I just—" She stopped mid step, her eyes brimming with tears as she turned to face us. "What have we done wrong? What did we miss? Tell me, because I can't make sense of this!""Mom, it's not like that," Ryan started, his voice low and hesitant."Not like what?" Her voice cracked, her disbelief quite obvious. "Not like you betrayed every moral and familial bond we ever taught you? Not like you’ve spit in the face of everything this family stands for?""Babe, calm down please."

I moved through my morning routines preparing for school with mechanical precision, the events of the previous night replaying endlessly in my mind.Fully dressed for school, I staggered towards the dinning, my heart beating hard against my chest. Reaching the dining, I hesitated for a moment in the doorway before stepping inside. Mom and Dad were present already, Mom at the sink, her back turned, and Dad facing his meal, although picking the food absentmindedly, it was obvious he was lost in his thoughts and the food before him isn't his focus at the moment.None of them looked up as I walked into the dining.Ryan walked in shortly, his steps slow and cautious. “Good morning,” he said tentatively, his voice barely above a whisper.I can't believe I forgot to greet, well, who wouldn't in this situation?I watched closely as Mom's hand froz

Aria's POV.I stepped out of class, Josh and Christie never left my side.My head was lowered as hateful whispers and biting comments buzzed around me like angry bees. My fingers clenched the straps of my backpack tightly, my knuckles white as I tried to ignore the venomous words hurled in my direction.“Disgusting.”“How could she?”“I can’t even look at her.”My chest felt heavy, and each step felt like wading through quicksand. The air seemed colder, harsher, as if even it turned against me. I kept my eyes fixed on the ground, praying I could make it to the parking lot without another confrontation. But then I saw him.Jeremy.He stood at the far end of the hallway, his broad shoulders tense, his jaw tight. His brown eyes, usually warm and inviting, now burned with a mix of betrayal and fury. He didn’t need to say a word; his expression alone was enough to stop me in my tracks. My breath hitched, and I swallowed hard, bracing myself for what was coming."We will give you a moment t

Aria's POV.I stood broken in the hallway, still trying to piece myself back together after Jeremy had stormed out of my life. My chest felt hollow, my breaths shallow, as though the weight of the world had collapsed on my shoulders. Around me, a swirl of chaos brewed: murmured gossip, disdainful stares, and the cruel buzz of social media notifications flooding my phone. The hate comments...so relentless and dehumanizing.. felt like daggers aimed straight at my heart.“Aria!” Christie's voice pierced through the noise. My two best friends pushed through the growing crowd. Christie grabbed me by the shoulders, her eyes wide with worry. “Ignore them, okay? Just focus on us. They don’t matter.”“Yeah,” Josh chimed in, glaring at a group of students who had their phones out, whispering loudly enough for it to sting. “Seriously, people need to get a life. Pathetic.”Christie wrapped an arm around my waist, her tone soft but firm. “You’re not alone in this. We’ve got you.”I wanted to say

People will have moved on.”“Yeah,” Christie added, though her wavering smile betrayed her uncertainty. “You’re stronger than all of this, Aria. Don’t let them win.”I stared at my friends, my heart aching with sorrow. They didn’t deserve to be dragged into this mess, yet here they were, standing by my side despite everything. • Let my billionaire ex-husband fall for me   Chapter two hundred and forty seven.

Aria's POV.The first day of suspension dawned heavy and suffocating for me. I spent most of the morning curled up on my bed, my pillow damp from hours of crying. My mind raced with every possible thought... how I could move past the scandal, how I could ever face the world again, how Mom and Dad seemed unshakable. Every avenue of thought led me back to despair, a cycle that felt inescapable.By mid afternoon, the silence in the house grew unbearable. I sat up, my head pounding from the endless tears, and decided to try reaching out to Mom and Dad, they didn't go to work too because of the questioning glared that has extended to them too.Perhaps if I showed them that I was genuinely remorseful, they might soften, even just a little. Wiping my face, I took a deep breath and sauntered downstairs. The living room was entirely quiet, the tension from the night before still lingering in the air. Mom sat on the couch, scrolling through her phone with a tight lipped expression, while Dad st

The restaurant was warm, the golden lights casting a cozy glow over the sleek wooden tables. Soft jazz music played in the background, mingling with the murmurs of the other diners, the clinking of silverware against fine china.I sat by the window, stirring my drink absentmindedly as I watched the city move outside. For the first time in what felt like forever, I was alone. No responsibilities pressing on my shoulders, no demands clawing at my time. Just me, a beautifully plated meal, and the illusion of peace.I let out a long sigh, sinking into the plush chair, allowing myself to bask in the moment. Life had been... exhausting. For years, I had been running. Not literally, but emotionally, mentally. Running to fix things, to prove myself, to erase the shadows of the past. And on top of that, I had a daughter now—a beautiful, sweet little girl who meant everything to me. She had Ryan’s piercing eyes, his lips, but my face. Every time I looked at her, it was like seeing pieces of him

Aria's POV. It had been two years since everything changed... since the scandal that turned my world upside down. And then my parents had it fixed. Christie, Josh and I were done with highschool and now in our first year in college. And just like every other day, we were laughing about some stupid class project as we made our way down the sidewalk.Suddenly, my phone tucked in my pocket and I quickly fetched it from my pocket, I didn't recognize the number, but it was an unknown area code, and something about it made my stomach drop.“Hold on, guys,” I said to Christie and Josh before picking the call “Hello?” “Is this Aria Liam's?” a calm voice on the other end asked.“Yes,” I replied, getting confused now. “This is city hall hospital. We need you to come in immediately. Your presence is required.”My mind raced. The urgency in the voice sent a chill down my spine. “What happened? Is everything okay?”“I’m afraid I can’t give you any details over the phone,” she said. “But it’s

Aria's POV.I had never been so relieved to return to school. Two weeks off, two long weeks of hiding away in my room, avoiding the pitying stares from neighbors, and the whispers of strangers who thought they knew everything. But today, today I was going back. I wasn’t going alone either. My parents were walking beside me, I didn’t know exactly what they had planned, but I knew they were going to do something about the scandal. Something that would either make everything better.. or make it worse.I adjusted the strap of my bag, glancing at my parents as we walked through the front gate of the school. Mom was standing tall, shoulders squared, walking with a determined pace. Dad, on the other hand, had his hands jammed deep into his pockets. They looked like the same parents I had known my whole life, though today felt different. They were on a mission. The moment we stepped onto school grounds, I could feel the tension. The eyes. People were still talking about us.. about the scanda

My stomach twisted, and a sudden wave of nausea surged up through my chest, catching me off guard. My vision blurred, and I swayed, struggling to keep myself upright. It felt like it had betrayed me, as if it had no control of its own."Hey, Aria, what's wrong?" I heard distant voices but I couldn't make out who they belonged to.My head spun, the room seeming to tilt at an impossible angle. The world around me began to dissolve, the sounds muffled as if underwater. I gasped for air, trying to steady myself, but it was as though the air itself had become thick, too heavy for me to breathe. My chest tightened, and my pulse raced, the noise of my heartbea

Now, everything was unbearable.I hadn’t left my room much, only stepping out when my body physically forced me to. I barely ate. I barely slept. When I did sleep, it was restless, haunted by dreams of Ryan... his voice, his touch, his warmth. Only to wake up to the cruel reality that he was gone.Christie and Josh had been my lifeline, visiting almost daily. They would knock, call my name softly, and even if I didn’t answer, they would sit outside my door for hours, talking about everything and nothing at all. I didn’t deserve them, but I needed them. Even if I could barely acknowledge it.It was a week of my suspension today, after spending hours lying in bed, staring blankly

Ryan's POV.It had been days. Days since Ryan had disappeared from my life, leaving nothing but an empty hole where my heart used to be. I could still feel the echoes of his presence, haunting the corners of the house, in the space where his laughter used to ring, in the quiet that used to be filled with his voice. But now, everything felt hollow. I hadn’t heard from him since that video, that live confession. And with every passing moment, the silence grew louder, consuming me more and more until I couldn’t tell where I ended and the emptiness began.I sat on the floor in the far corner of my room, my knees drawn up to my chest, arms wrapped tightly around them as if I could protect myself from the overwhelming emptiness that consumed me. The walls felt like they were closing in. The quiet, the stillness, it suffocated me. My mind wouldn’t let me escape the thoughts of him. Of what he said. Of what he did. Of what he could have done to escape this nightmare. My heart kept trying to

It was as though my entire body was trying to escape the terror and helplessness that consumed me, trying to outrun the suffocating fear that had taken over my mind. My thoughts were a blur, a haze of desperate urgency, but they all had one single, overpowering focus: Ryan.I had to find him. I had to stop him.I absolutely don't know where he is or where to find him but one thing was sure, I will get him back. The words from his confession echoed in my head, over and over again: “I’m leaving. I’ll disappear.”No. He couldn’t. He couldn’t just leave me. Not after everything. Not after the bond we shared, the love, the years of quiet, stolen moments that had built up between us. Ryan was my everything. He was my protector, my constant, the one person who had never looked at me with judgment, never turned his back on me,
