Emily's POV."Congratulations, Mrs Liam," My stomach churned in despair as I feared hearing the doctor's next words, which were pretty obvious now. "You are one month pregnant," he finally let the dreadful words out, sending stabs of pain through my already torn heart, slicing it into a million tiny pieces. Those words, which might sound delightful to other women's ears sounded like a curse in my ears right now. I had steadily endured the early signs because I dreaded hearing those words. How could I be pregnant for a man like Liam Johnson? He was my husband, but undoubtedly my worst nightmare. The sound of his car driving into the mansion or the sound of his footsteps walking into the house always had my heart beating drastically in terror. And when he stared at me, the fury in his eyes was evident. His gaze on me always held nothing but disgust and scorn.I knew getting married to me was the worst episode of his life but I had held onto the tiniest gleam of hope that he would adju

Emily's POV.Throughout the drive to the hospital, no one said a word to anyone. The silence could be sliced effortlessly with a butter knife. I had only one resolution, and that was to protest if our drive here was to take my blood for the strange lady's usage like he had been doing for the past months. I could care less if I was healthy because I was seeking his validation desperately and I would do anything to save my marriage, but I am pregnant now, I needed to be healthy the best I can. As we pulled over at the hospital's parking lot and climbed down, I felt my heart churn in anger as my eyes ran over the huge hospital building. It was a private hospital.I never fail to feel this way each time we arrive here.Whoever Nicole was to him, he could definitely afford her treatment at the biggest private hospital in the country, yet whenever I caught a sickness, I would always take a cab to the nearby hospital if Jared wasn't disposed to drive me.Liam never cared to impress me wit

The events of the previous night suddenly came rushing back to my head in a heavy rush.I could remember signing the divorce papers and leaving the house wandering through the cold street before the loud noise from behind then I crashed into a hard surface and passed out. Aria's POV.The living room was a battlefield, every breath a struggle, I could literally hear the sound of my heart beating so hard against my chest. Ryan and I sat side by side on the couch, our shoulders hunched in fright, and our faces pale. Across from them, Dad and Mom loomed, their expressions a volatile mix of anger, confusion, and sheer devastation.Mom's pacing had turned frantic. She wrung her hands together, her voice rising and falling with the tide of her emotions. "I don't even know where to start. I just—" She stopped mid step, her eyes brimming with tears as she turned to face us. "What have we done wrong? What did we miss? Tell me, because I can't make sense of this!""Mom, it's not like that," Ryan started, his voice low and hesitant."Not like what?" Her voice cracked, her disbelief quite obvious. "Not like you betrayed every moral and familial bond we ever taught you? Not like you’ve spit in the face of everything this family stands for?""Babe, calm down please."

Aria's POV.Just as Ryan and I were pacing round the room, sweats trickling down our foreheads, the door flung open and Dad walked in. "Dad." I exclaimed, rushing towards him, but I halted halfway as I suddenly realized that things weren't the way they used to be, I was no longer his little princess. At least for the time being. The look on his face was a confirmation of my thoughts. Their was no trace of affection on his face unlike before. "Is Mom going to be okay?" I managed to ask."And now you suddenly care huh?" He snapped at me. Okay, this is definitely getting worse, Dad would never speak to me like this. "Dad please, can you let us explain? We.." "Please don't say anything to me right now, I don't want my anger to get worse than it is right now." He cut in swiftly. Well, it's going to take a lot to get rid of this situation. If Dad could be like this towards us then it's finished then, isn't it?"Could you at least let us know Mom's condition please? We just want to ma

Aria's POV."You really don't have to pretend Nadia, it's out now and it's all thanks to your running mouth." Ryan spat, his daggering glare fixed on her. Thank goodness it was over the phone else this would have gotten a lot messier, Ryan's fury was getting out of hand by each passing second."You know I'm still mad at you for what you did, here I am suffocating myself with such heavy secret for your sake and you dare call me to be rude to me? If you don't start stating the reasons you called me, I'm going to hang up in you and I don't care how that makes you feel." She fired back at him.Okay, I have to step in now. "Hey Nadia." I tried to sound cheerful as I swiftly went to sit beside Ryan on the bed, taking the phone from him."I don't need any sort of greeting from any of you, what do you both want?" She spat.Ouch, that hurts."I'm sorry if we got you off on the wrong foot, Ryan is just pissed right now." I said. "And somehow, I'm the best person to vent his anger on?" She c

Their gazes moved from Ryan to me, for several seconds without saying a word. The silence was deafening, I wanted to say something but nothing could come out. Ryan seemed lost as well, nothing came from him too. We all wallowed in silence. This is really messed up. They weren't supposed to find out like this. This wasn't how Ryan and I planned to be outed. It was the end of the vacation today and we had planned to tell them tonight. Why does this have to happen now? And who is responsible for the video on their phone? Who sent it?Who even recorded it?This is an entirely new space for us, no one literally knows us so how come we got recorded? And how did the culprit get hold of our parents contact? This was the reason I was scared to even do anything in the car in the first place, or
