Chapter eighty six.

Emily's POV.

I breezed through my schedule for the day with a wide smile playing at the corner of my lips.

My presentations at every meeting was on point and so was every other minor activity at work.

Many of my colleagues couldn't stop throwing glances of confusion at me as I walked all around the company beaming all smiles and humming to myself.

Well, it felt really good hearing Liam confess the reality of his actions towards me few years ago, not that I have totally forgiven him but it has helped reduce my anger towards him.

As I sat on my desk, finalizing my projects for the day before I retire home, the loud sound of my phone ringing suddenly broke out.

Reaching out to grab it, a small smile spread out on my face as I stared at the screen.

It was Liam calling.

Exhaling a deep breath, I received the call and placed it over my ear.

"Hello, Emily."

I felt a sudden cold shiver run down my spine as his deep voice filtered into my ear.
