RYKER I watched as her breathing increased when I touched her. I wanted to make her feel so good after the explosion she gave me in the car. IRISI heard someone yelling and jumped up from the treasure room bed. "Hello?" I said quietly, but no one responded. I was afraid to move at first but decided I needed to make sure Ryker was okay. IRISWhen the text came in, I was still half drowsy. I picked up my phone and stared at the screen until my eyes focused. It was from my mother. Someone had called her, from California, asking questions about me. I sat up quickly. I wanted to shake Ryker, to wake him, I was frightened that someone had found my mom in Ohio. He hadn't slept well, tossing and turning most of the remainder of the night. I walked quietly to the kitchen and called Deacon. "Someone called my mom Deacon. Why would they do that? They were asking about me?" I said scared one of these crazy assasans was looking for a way to retaliate. Deacon was quiet. "Hello? Do I need to wake Ryker? What do I need to do?" RYKERReading the letter gutted me. I knew I was wrong for asking Deacon to investigate her, I knew she would be angry. I had to, I had to know what happened, where her nightmares were coming from. IRISIt was dark, and cold wherever they put me. I was shot up with something in the car. I must have slept for some time. I couldn't hear much, and everything was dark. It felt like they had some sort of bag over my head. I could breathe but it was laboured. Something was on my mouth, I assume duck tape, I tried chewing on it like I had seen on a tik tok once.
