IRISWhen the text came in, I was still half drowsy. I picked up my phone and stared at the screen until my eyes focused. It was from my mother. Someone had called her, from California, asking questions about me. I sat up quickly. I wanted to shake Ryker, to wake him, I was frightened that someone had found my mom in Ohio. He hadn't slept well, tossing and turning most of the remainder of the night. I walked quietly to the kitchen and called Deacon. "Someone called my mom Deacon. Why would they do that? RYKERReading the letter gutted me. I knew I was wrong for asking Deacon to investigate her, I knew she would be angry. I had to, I had to know what happened, where her nightmares were coming from. IRISIt was dark, and cold wherever they put me. I was shot up with something in the car. I must have slept for some time. I couldn't hear much, and everything was dark. It felt like they had some sort of bag over my head. I could breathe but it was laboured. Something was on my mouth, I assume duck tape, I tried chewing on it like I had seen on a tik tok once. IRIS I had to stay strong. No tears and no fear. A few men were walking around outside of the door of the room I was locked inside. "I need to pee," I said loudly and even. RYKER I looked up at Deacon, still stuck in fear in my mind. "Who? What?" I asked, trying to take in the words he was saying to me. "Claud, we know who he is. The man Ivy mentioned on the phone. He was one of the men, that followed the mob guys around back at the Punisher. He was a tag along of sorts back then. It sounds like he has made it up in ranks since then." At the point, I was more worried than before. Claud was a follower, a showoff, he wanted someone to pay attention to him. He would be extra loud, a showboat, more arrogant. IRIS It was quiet for a while. I sat in the room alone. All I could think about was Ryker. I know he is losing his mind trying to find me. Deacon is probably using all his resources to find me. I just hope no one gets hurt coming for me. I looked around, finally able to see if there were any ways for me to escape. I couldn't really see anything promising.
