“I’m going after it!” Alpha Matthew was moved.

“Dad, I don’t think you should do it,” Violet murmured. “I want you to read me a story about a goat and a chicken.”

Alpha Matthew looked at Violet with a hint of suspicion.

“Why are you stopping me from chasing it? Is it someone who’s been good to you?” Alpha Matthew’s anger rose, and he growled.

“Mate, calm down. You shouldn’t be like this. Let me call Jamien to cover that window with something new,” I said, trying to defuse the situation. Something was off, and I couldn’t put my finger on it.

Violet’s sudden request and Alpha Matthew’s reaction were too strange to ignore.

“How peculiar, Lauryn. Why would a good person suddenly enter through the window?” Alpha Matthew murmured.

“Enough, you’re scaring Violet. She’s already scared because of the strange creature incident. You’re just making her uncomfortable,” I tried to get Alpha Matthew to stop his behavior.

“Someone threw that small plate,” Violet spoke up.
