A Blizzard of Secrets

“Good morning, I didn’t expect you all to leave so early today,” Agent Kim greeted as he saw us in the main lobby.

“Well, this morning snow was quite surprising,” Alpha Matthew chuckled.

“Did you let the children play in the pouring snow?” Agent Kim asked.

“Well, of course. They were very enthusiastic about it,” I replied.

Agent Kim chuckled before handing us each a sheet of paper. “This is a report I obtained from some neighbouring packs, as well as from border patrol guards.”

“Are these reports legitimate?” Alpha Matthew inquired.

“Of course, they are, Alpha Matthew.”

“Wait, why is it only the Ethereal Hunters’ territory that is shrouded in mist?” I asked, sensing something amiss with the black dots on the map.

“That’s what worries me, especially if the children are playing under a snowstorm. I’m not sure if it’s a genuine snowfall or due to Holly’s actions,” I replied.

“Oh, bloody hell. Isn’t snow supposed to be natural?” Alpha Matthew sighed and handed the map back to Agent Kim.
