Little Matter

“What’s up?” I asked nervously.

“Looks like Randy’s throwing another fit. He’s been going crazy lately,” the prof whispered.

“Does the big bad Alpha have a bit of a temper, huh? Does he like to smash things?” I asked, raising an eyebrow.

Alpha Matthew tightened his grip on my arm, but I could see a hint of amusement in his eyes.

The Professor let out a deep sigh. “Luna Lauryn, he’s not himself at the moment. I believe he needs time to heal, and sometimes, venting his emotions through rage is how he copes.”

The Professor swung the door wide open. And there we found Randy struggling to pry open a shiny silver cage.

“Growl!” he snarled at us.

“Yo buddy, chow time!” The Professor poured some liquid into a bowl and presented it to Randy.

But the sensitive creature wasn’t having it, and he started clawing at the Professor’s arm.

“Randy, seriously? Not cool,” I said, trying to contain my irritation.

“Don’t worry, I’ll patch myself up first,” the professor replied calmly.
