As Lune rested in the hospital, her parents sat beside her bed, their faces pale with worry. Her mother, eyes red and swollen from hours of crying, held Lune’s hand tightly, refusing to let go. Her father’s gaze was fixed on her, his expression a mixture of sorrow and anger. They couldn’t understand how anyone could harm their daughter like this. The thought of someone betraying her, hurting her in such a brutal way, was unfathomable to them.

Valerie, Lune’s best friend, stood quietly nearby, struggling to hold back tears. She had thought she knew all of Lune’s friends, the people Lune trusted. The idea that one of them had betrayed her was painful, almost surreal. She kept replaying moments in her mind, trying to remember if there had ever been any hint of jealousy or resentment from anyone around Lune.
