Chapter 69

After days in the hospital, Lune was finally discharged. Her strength was gradually returning, and although the emotional scars lingered, being free from the sterile hospital room lifted her spirits. Arlo was right by her side, holding her hand as they walked through the hospital doors into the bright sunlight outside. She took a deep breath, savoring the fresh air and the promise of a new beginning.

As they approached Arlo's home, Lune was surprised to see a small gathering waiting for her. Arlo’s aunt, a graceful woman with a kind smile, and his cousin, a young woman with an energetic demeanor, were standing near the entrance. They both stepped forward as soon as they saw Lune, their faces full of warmth and relief.

Arlo's aunt reached out and gently took Lune's hand in hers. "Oh, Lune, dear," she said softly, her eyes glistening. "We’re so happy to see you up and about. I’m sorry we couldn’t visit you at the hospital. We wanted to respect your recovery time and let you rest."
