After a long and exhausting day of meetings with the pack elders, Arlo felt a mix of relief and frustration. The discussions had been intense, and while he understood the elders' concerns regarding his marriage to Lune, he had wished they could be more supportive of his choices. He had returned home with his mind buzzing, eager to reconnect with Lune and share the good news about her education.

As he walked through the door, he was met by the familiar scent of the home he had grown to cherish. The warmth of the interior wrapped around him like a comforting blanket, and for a moment, he closed his eyes, taking a deep breath. He needed to be fully present for Lune, especially after the previous night’s misunderstandings.
