CHAPTER SIXTY | HOME; WHERE SHE BELONGS

“Oh my goddess, Alena," Lucinda exclaims, running to assist her in walking.

Her leg is still broken, and she is leaning on a stick for support.

She collapses the moment Lucinda touches her to help her.

Lucinda places a hand on her waist and the other hand on her shoulder, trying to carry all her weight. She takes her hand off Alena's stomach to place it somewhere else to comfortably carry but stops once she sees the blood that appears on her hands.

With shaking hands, Lucinda slightly turns Alena to the side and is greeted with the sight of the gunshot wound.

Lucinda screams in horror. “She is bleeding guys, she has been shut."

Caleb and Carson immediately swing into action, taking Alena out of the trembling Lucinda's hand and trying to reduce the blood flowing out of Alena.

Through everything, I just silently watch in horror, frozen in shock.

I don't move until I feel the agonizing pain in my stomach.
