CHAPTER SIXTY-TWO | TRUTHFULLY BACK

Does she remember everything that happened? Or does she still think she is in that time when everything was still perfect in her life?

Slowly and cautiously walking towards her, I give her a reassuring smile.

“Hey," I greet softly.

She does not answer and continues staring at me.

“How are you feeling?" I ask.

She still does not take her gaze off me and keeps staring at me like I am an alien.

I do not think that she remembers anything.

“I missed you so damn much it hurts," I whisper, not expecting her to hear.

Neither was I expecting her to reply. “I miss you more than you could ever miss me." She croaks out.

She starts coughing, and I immediately rush to the bedside table to get her water to drink. She shakily talks the cup from my hand and gulps down its content within seconds.

I silently watch her, smiling like a young schoolboy that is in love with his teacher.
