Chapt 53: A Quick Pace

Abigail was enjoying breakfast with Gin when the bell rang. One of the maids hurriedly opened the door, followed by the sound of approaching footsteps and the presence of a man with copper-colored hair.

His eyes brightened as he found his beloved woman sipping juice and enjoying the food on the table.

"Hey, Zac. Come, join us." Abigail opened a plate on the table next to her, and one of the waiters poured the juice into a glass and then served a portion of pancakes for Zac.

"What brings you here so early?" Abigail asked as Zac began to enjoy his meal. "Oh, I'm sorry. Please finish your breakfast first, and we'll talk later."

Abigail flashed a smile, which she didn't want to show. How could she not? She was heartbroken because of Ashton's departure, and now having to greet the man who was the target of her mission made her not excited.
