GAIA

We had started work. Well, I had started work and I was having to go to court almost every day. It made me wonder whether these people didn’t have a lawyer before. I had more work than I could Handle but I was trying.

“Madam, you have a meeting with Mr Miller this afternoon. Are you still on or should I cancel it?”

I didn’t even know that I didn't answer her. My mind was focused on something else. Before she came in, my phone screen lit up and I saw it was a text.

He was saying that he was sorry one week after he failed to show up? Seriously? What exactly did this man think he was doing? Did he think he could show up when he wanted to and not show up?

“No, don’t cancel it. Just give me a few moments and get Evan to get things ready.”

I don’t have the time to think about Javon or the way he was acting. My mind flashed back to that night.
