“And what about the financial reports for the first quarter? Is that being evaluated?”

A file was passed to me and I opened it and dropped it on top of several other files that had been passed to me. Today was another meeting between the Heads of Departments and my butt was already sore.

It sounded like they all had had the same voices now since everyone had been talking for the past three hours. I was barely even listening.

“Can we take a break after this? Half an hour and we’ll get back to it.”

They hastily agreed and we wrapped that section up quickly. As I walked back to my office, I couldn't sit so I just stood by my window and faced outside. Gaia’s call had come in earlier today to set the time for our meeting.

Hopefully, we’d be done with today’s meeting by the time I have to be there. Even if we weren’t done, I would have to leave. I couldn’t miss today for anything.

The door opened and my secretary walked in.

“Sir, there’s someone here to see you.”
