The meeting with the board didn't go so well. Mainly because I wasn't listening and then they kept asking me questions.

Today's meeting was for me to explain how the court case was affecting the company. Sales were going down since the public knew that the CEO of the company was in hot water with the military.

“It’s not good for the business. it's affecting us. I mean, what will the public say?!”

I didn't have the strength to answer these men, especially Mr Bertram who had always been after me.

“Let the public say what they want to say. That's why they're the public, their opinions don't matter. Things are under control. Don't make them to be more than they are.”

I didn't even want to attend this meeting in the first place because I knew how it was going to go but my assistant made me.
