Chapter 2: The Kiss Stealer

Third Person's POV

"Come on Dylan! Nasa bar ako ngayon, I can't leave my girls just to sign papers with you! Pwede pa naman 'yan sa opisina bukas, tama na muna sa masyadong trabaho!"

Dylan could no longer hide his frustration after hearing his friend—Rick, the licensed lawyer of their company— reasoning out to decline a job just because he's in a bar.

Dylan sighed. Irritated. "I just need your sign. I don't want these papers to reach tomorrow without a sign, Rick. Do not be a di*k and just tell me where you are right now! Ako na ang pupunta basta pumirma ka lang!"

"F*ck! Come on, Dude!" rinig niyang reklamo pa ng kaibigan ngunit wala nang makakapigil pa sa kanya.

"Just tell me the fuck*ng name of the place then I'll be there in a minute, with a ballpen and papers in my hand. I just need your sign, that's it!" aniya. Hindi niya na maitago ang frustration sa kanyang boses.

"Fine! I'm here at La Belle's!" wika nito.

Dylan released an irritated chuckle then hung up the phone without any words. Agad niyang pinaandar ang makina ng kotse at agad na pinatakbo iyon patungo sa sikat na Bar sa kanilang syudad—ang La Belle's.

When he arrived, he immediately checked the documents and brought a pen with him before going out. Upon every step, Dylan can sense the adoration gazes from women around him. Makikita sa mga reaksyon ng mga ito ang labis na paghanga sa kanya—na kasalukuyang nakasuot pa ng pormal na damit dahil kagagaling niya lamang sa isang napaka-importanteng meeting. The same reason why he needed Rick's signature, to make their meeting valid. Lintek naman kasi ng kaibigan, lunes na lunes pero gustong mag-bar!

"Good evening, Señor." The guards greeted him when he reached the door, then the guard opened it for him. Dylan just nodded as a response then immediately went in. Pagpasok pa lang ay tila para siyang nasa loob ng bagong mundo. Madilim, at punung-puno ng tao ang loob ng bar, idagdag pa ang ingay na nanggagaling sa malalaking speaker.

Dylan hissed in irritation. "Where the heck is that man?" He whispered as he scanned the whole place. Ngunit sa sobrang dami nga namang tao, malabong makita niya agad ang lalaki kaya naman unti-unti siyang humakbang at umikot sa loob ng bar. He even asked the bartender if he sees the guy but the bartender just said that he didnt have any idea. Later, Dylan took his phone out and started dialling the man's number.

It has been how many rings but no one's answering the call.

"Damn. Where the heck are you, man!" Dylan said in anger before he stopped in front of a group of friends' table. If he's not mistaken, the group contains one man and three other women. Dylan just slipped his gaze onto the women on the said table but his attention was a bit caught by one of the girls. The lady wearing a black tube dress.

In a glimpse, Dylan was amazed by how attractive the girl was. It looked beautiful and he even noticed the girl's sweet yet daring facial features. Para itong lumabas galing sa isang Hollywood Action Film.

Damn, Dylan! You have your personal agenda why you're here! You should focus!

Munting paalala niya sa kanyang sarili kaya naman agad niyang muling pinindot ang call button upang tawagan ang kaibigan. But before he even heard the fourth ring, Dylan felt a set of warm arms wrapped around his neck, which made him immediately look at it. He saw the lady in a black tube, staring at him with a fierce expression. Dylan somehow felt the sudden thumping of his heart for an unknown reason. He just felt new things, and he was about to ask when the woman suddenly tiptoed and kissed him fully on the lips which made his eyes turn wide.

"I THOUGHT YOU WERE TRYING TO FIND ME, MAN!"

Dylan hissed after hearing the voice of Rick teasing him. They're currently outside the bar, Dylan leaning on the hood of his car with a water bottle in his hand while Rick is holding a bottle of beer on his right hand while smiling nonchalantly at him.

"Shut the fucked up!" Dylan replied. "I was hunting you down then that happened!" he explained.

Rick, laughed hard after hearing what he said. "That 'that' you are referring to is the one thing that you enjoyed earlier. Oh my god, man! You're kissing that woman back, and you're not even drunk!" pang-aasar pa nito. "Umamin ka, trip mo 'yung babae, tama?" Rick concluded which made Dylan's forehead crease in disbelief.

"What? Are you out of your mind?"

"I'm not, and actually pare, if you just saw yourself earlier, damang-dama mo 'yung paghalik duon sa babae! Halatang may tama ka duon, 'e." dagdag pa nito na ikinailing nya kasabay ang malakas na pagtawa.

"That's bullshit. Ako? Man, you know what I am and who I am. A simple kiss is not a big deal. I can kiss anyone I like without doing anything,"

"But why did you kiss the woman back?"

"I'm just sharing her a little bit of taste of heaven. I mean, she's the one who wrapped her arms around me and she was the first one to kiss. I just gave back. Kawawa naman baka umiyak kapag di ko pinagbigyan," wika niya para ipalabas na talaga namang wala siyang kahit anong naramdaman sa halik na iyon.

But inside him, he knew that there was something happening within his system. May kakaiba siyang nararamdaman matapos ang halik na iyon at ang biglaang pag-alis 'nung babae. Hindi niya lang mawari kung ano.

At isa 'pang tanong na gumugulo sa kanya ay kung sino ang babaeng 'yon? Ngayon niya lamang nakita ang babae, kaya't nagtataka talaga siya. At bakit naman nito kailangang tumakbo palayo matapos ang halik?

Is she nuts? or is she embarrassed?

"Well then, let's forget about it. Hand me the documents. I will sign it," He heard Rick said that pulled him out of deep thoughts.

Dahil binanggit ng lalaki ay duon niya lang muling naalala ang sadya ng pagpunta nya sa Bar. Agad niyang inabot ang mga papeles na nakapatong sa ibabaw ng hood ng kanyang sasakyan at inabot sa lalaki.

"Sa susunod na gawin mo pa 'to ulit at sayangin ulit ang oras ko, papapalitan na kita bilang abogado ng kumpanya, Rick." wika niya sa kaibigan.

Tinignan naman siya ni Rick. "Is that a warning? Nakakatakot naman," anito sa mapang-asar na tono habang pinipirmahan ang mga papeles na dala niya.

"Gag* seryoso ako! It's fuck*ng Monday yet you're here, hunting girls?"

"Bakit? Pinagbawal na ba sa batas na kapag lunes ay hindi pwedeng magpunta sa Bar?" pilosopong sagot naman ni Rick na ikinahingang malalim na lang ni Dylan.

"Just fucked off dude. You're making me angry," aniya dito bago hinablot ang mga papeles nang makitang tapos na nito iyong pirmahan. "I will tell this to Dad's secretary so she could cut a bit of your salary," huli niyang wika bago ito tinalikuran at agad na sumakay ng kotse.

"What?! That's not fair! It's out of working hours already! You cannot do that!" pahabol nitong sigaw ngunit nginisihan nya lang ang lalaki bago pinasibad ng mabilis palayo ang kanyang sasakyan.
