Chapter 13: Back

Heading to the kitchen, no one answers his call.

'He told me something feels off, and now they are gone...'

The realization then struck him.

'Shit... Did something bad happen to them? '

Sounds of someone knocking on the door then echoed in the house.

"Hello? May I know why you are here? What is your business in this house?"

"Who are you?"

"I am Cielo's neighbor. He left a week ago, and he hasn't come back ever since."

'So he left... '

"With the two brats?"

"So you know Frank and Alex?"

'This man knows too much. Maybe he knows where they are.

"Yes, where are they?"

Diverting his gaze, the old man did not look at the guy he was talking to.

"Is there something I need to know?"

"I don't know if I should be telling this."

He then pulls out a gold coin from his hand.

"Is this enough to make you talk?"

Surprised by what he did, the old man took a step backward and shook his hand.

"No, no, I don't need that. I was just worried."

Shaking his head, he then looks at the guy.
