Chapter 16: Betrayal

"He's here..."

Alex mumbled as he sat in front of the large rock with flowers on it.

"Those bastards..."

Gritting his teeth, Clad's face turns sour. He did not even think that he would be back and this is what he will see.

'If only I came back sooner. Then maybe...'

Turning his back, Alex didn't notice how tears started to fall in Clad's eyes. But even with him not looking, he manages to make the soil glow.

And manipulating the ground, even with his mana running out, he did his best to make it decent and presentable.
