Margot didn't expect Curtis to actually let her go.

His actions undeniably propelled her, someone already insecure with a fear of abandonment from their time together, even farther away.

She bit her lip. Gazing deeply into Curtis' eyes, she hesitantly asked, "Do you really want me to leave?"
