NOLAN

I could still be out there at the club, having fun.

I could've taken Jessica back to my place and banged her brains out.

Instead, here I was, taking care of this unruly, spoiled princess while she had her head stuck in the toilet bowl.

I had her hair twisted around my hand so I could hold her hair back while she threw up.

"There, there. You are alright," I said, patting her back. I rolled my eyes. How did I get stuck in this situation?

But I couldn't just leave her there with Eric. I've known Eric since college, and the things he does with women are sometimes...how do I put it, unorthodox. I tried to reason with him and warned him about being a better person on several occasions but couldn't get it through his thick skull.

"I threw up on my new dress," Evelyn looked up from the toilet and said.

Oh Jesus.

"Ah well. You should've listened to me when I asked you not to drink too much," I said irritably.

"But I love drinking." She looked at me and pouted her lips. "I need to take this off," she announced and started to pull her dress over her head.

"Whoa, stop it. What the hell are you doing?" I cried and grabbed her hand to stop her.

"What do you think I'm doing? My dress is dirty, so I'm getting naked," she said and struggled to get out of my grasp, but I held her tightly. This woman was a nuisance, and I already regretted trying to help her.

"Nuuu! Lemme gooo. I need to get naked. In fact, you should get naked with me too. Come on, big boy. Take your clothes off. Let me see that hot body," she whispered seductively and tugged at my shirt.

Part of me was pleased that Evelyn Bennett thinks I have a hot body, but a more significant part of me was highly annoyed by her behavior. As much as I love a naked woman, I didn't want to be accused of sexual harassment.

However, she was right. Her dress was filthy and smelled terrible.

Fuck it, I already got myself involved, so I might as well go all the way. "Alright, fine. Just stay still," I said and turned her around. I pulled down her back zipper then slid the dress off.

I looked at the smooth skin of her back and felt my jeans tighten. Goddammit, Nolan. Now is not the time. I scolded myself, upset at myself for getting turned on by Evelyn of all people.

"Don't look at me!" she barked.

Too late for that now, sugar.

"Take those off too. I won't look, I swear," I said, pointing at her bra and underwear."

"You won't? You promise?" she asked.

"I promise."

"But do you pinky promise?" she urged me and held up her pinky.

"Eve, we are not seven years old," I said irritably.

"Pinky promise you won't look at my breasts," she insisted.

"Jesus, woman. I pinky promise. Now would you hurry the fuck up?"

"Meanie," she grumbled under her breath.

I turned on the shower and checked the water temperature before pushing her inside. She gasped as she was suddenly drenched under the running water. I turned my head not to look at her wet body. I was already turned on from dancing with Jessica at the club, which made things much worse for me.

"I am done," she said and tried to push me out of the way, but I pushed her back inside.

"The hell you are. Wash your hair too. You threw up all over it earlier," I ordered.

"NO!" she declared.

I sighed. This woman was worse than my four year old nephew. "Evelyn Bennett. You better do as I say," I scolded her.

"YOU DO IT THEN, NINCOMPOOP!"

God help me before I lose my shit.

"Fine. Stay still," I barked. I poured some shampoo on my palm and massaged it into her hair. Luckily, she didn't fight me anymore.

I finally managed to take her to bed and stuffed her inside a blanket, making her into a human burrito. I knew she would wake up in the morning and start accusing me of doing indecent things to her.

And I was right.

So now here we are, it is morning, and I was getting yelled at by Evelyn.

I didn't stop her as she ran out of the house crying. At first, I wanted to let her get the wrong idea and drown in her own misery, but I changed my mind. I mean, hey, I wasn't a complete monster. Not especially after she told me she was a virgin.

I wasn't sure if I believed her though. What woman stays a virgin at her age these days? She probably lied to make me feel bad.

I ran out to the street to see if she was still out there, but I didn't see her right away. Then I spotted her inside the bakery across the street. I grinned and walked into the store.

"Hey there, drunk lady," I said casually and watched her cheeks turn red. Oh shit, she was really angry!

"What do you want?" she snarled.

"Jeez, is this the thanks I get for taking care of you last night?" I teased her. Her eyes were red and puffy as she was crying for a while. Jeez, I didn't think it was that much of a big deal.

"Take care of me? Fuck off, Nolan. You took advantage of me! Don't you have any shame?" Evelyn cried. A few customers at the table next to us looked at us curiously.

Okay, it was time to clear some misunderstandings.

I pulled up a chair in front of her and sat down. "Calm down, Eve. It was nothing."

"It's nothing to you, you playboy jerk. But it was the worst thing for me. It was my first time!" she exclaimed.

"No, I mean..."

"Goddammit! I always pictured my first time with someone who had Ryan Reynolds's body and Zac Efron's ass. And he was supposed to be my prince charming!" she cried.

I held back my laughter. "Well, I am no prince charming, but I do have Zac Efron's ass. Some ladies say..."

"That's not the point!" she squealed.

"Alright, alright. Just calm down, okay? Nothing happened between us," I finally told her before things got out of hand.

She stared at me for a moment without blinking. "What do you mean?"

"Nothing happened. We didn't have sex. We didn't even cuddle. I put you in bed and slept in the guestroom," I said.

"Y...you...we...didn't have sex?" she stammered.

"No. Do you want me to pinky promise?" I asked sarcastically.

She didn't get the joke as she didn't remember a thing from last night.

"Then why did you say we did? Ugh! You are such a jerk," she murmured.

"Well, this jerk has had enough of you, so how about I take you home and we pretend like none of this ever happened?" I suggested.

She released a sigh of relief as she finally believed. "Okay," she said quietly.

"Good. We finally agree on something," I said.

One week later, my family arranged a picnic like they do every year around this time. Most of the time, it's at the lake where they bought a beach house. It wasn't anything formal. Just me, my parents and some close family members. Which means Jessica would be there and I'd have the chance to interrogate her about Nolan. What the fuck was she thinking hanging out with that douche?Whatever, there was no point in regretting things now. In the morning, I put on my bathing suit under my summer dress and headed to the lake."Evelyn! Sweetheart. Glad you are here. You can help me with the set up," my chirped as I walked toward the picnic table.

EVELYNI felt a shiver run through my spine as Nolan placed his hand on my shoulder, and stroking my collarbone only made it worse. I stared into his bright blue orbs feeling unable to move. What are you doing Evelyn? You should be kicking his ass for touching you right now. I felt trapped in the spot I was and my eyes flickered to his lips as he moved closer to me. I gulped nervously and before I could blink, he pressed his lips against mine. I tried not to show that it affected me, but I ended up moaning and I moved my hips against his. It wasn't sloppy or overly wet, it was unexpectedly pleasant and I felt a tugging of desire in my lower belly. What am I doing Eve?! I need to stop this. I wanted to protest but ended up giving in again. I didn't expect it when Nolan placed his hand between my thighs, causing me to moan. I have to stop this. "Mm...Nolan," I mumbled as his lips traveled to my shoulders and he began to push down the straps of my dress. "Evelyn, Evelyn?"I blinked,

But in the end, I lost control of myself. She flinched but didn't push me away when our lips fused. When my tongue met hers, she moaned against my mouth, then pressed her hips against mine. She made noise as if to complain but kept kissing me. She jerked a little when I placed my hand between her thighs but didn't try to stop me.
