Hardin's POV

I scrolled through my phone for the last time as I sat on the swirling chair, trying to read my unread message. I cleared all as and planned to respond to them when I get home and have dinner. I heaved a sigh as I moved back on my chair, opening the drawer to place my gun in it. I came across the half cocaine that I sniffed earlier. I thought of going along with it to the house but later decided not to as I still had a bag of it at home. I stood up slowly from the chair, heaving a sigh as I walked out of the office and headed for my car.

The drive back to my mansion was a very fast one. Perhaps it was because I drove above my normal speed, as I was so exhausted and could not wait to get home. I parked in front of the house, tossing the key to one of my guards to park the car properly.

“Welcome back boss.” He greeted me as he bowed, and I only gestured in response to his greeting as I walked inside the house. I went into the room directly and I suddenly felt different. I
