Chapter Nine - Kai

“I- I mean. It's freaking delicious.” I desperately hoped they would buy my excuse, “I'm sorry for my inappropriate use of language.” I apologized immediately, feeling mom's burning eyes on me. Alright, I managed to ruin her picture perfect image in front of the flawed family of her boyfriend.

“You didn't apologize when you called me a whore. Is it a good word in your dictionary?” Hunter remarked, enjoying his food while still keeping his foot on my lap.

“It's the truth. My mom taught me not to be ever apologetic about telling the truth.” I retorted, pinching his foot so that he would finally free me from the misery.

I hated Hunter with every fiber of my body, there was no denying that. However, my bodily desire couldn't free itself from his iron grip.
