Ok, maybe the four of us should have been more concerned about meeting their entire family than we were. All of the men in this family are fucking huge. They are all my height or taller. I think Cole’s dad has to be 6’10”. Hell, he might even be taller than that. I can tell you that we were scared shitless, but we sure as hell didn’t show it. After a half-hour of questions making sure we weren’t going to hurt their little girls, which is hilarious, they were OK with us. I wonder if they even know that their little girls beat the shit out of more than half the guys at our school. Alek and I were shocked when they greeted his dad and mine like they were old friends.
“We are old friends. We all went to school together back in Atlanta. Not to mention college as well.” Dad says.
“Speaking of where is Christian and Lucy?” Uncle Greg asks.
“They ran into some hard times and things turned out bad for them. Last we heard they were in North Carolina but who knows.” Kylynn’s dad Doug says.
They had all introduced themselves. Doug and Quinn are Kylynn’s parents, Sean and Sarah are Tianya’s parents, Yasmin and Jordan are Zya’s parents, Dean and Lillith are Dalton and Vienna’s parents, and Zach and Faith are Gabe’s parents. There is another brother, but they are having a rough time.
“Don’t they have a daughter?” Dad asks.
“Yes her name is Dani. She just turned 18 a month ago. She emancipated herself from them when she was 16. While we weren’t happy with what was going on we supported her because it was the right thing for her. I love my brother but he and Lucy are toxic to each other and Dani is doing great.” Dean replies.
“She worked with the Kylynn and Tianya right?” Uncle Greg asks.
“No, but she is a very accomplished dancer, musician and lyricist. She actually was the one that got those two to go to a showcase along with Korey. One of his friends is related to a music producer and as they say, the rest is history. “ Sean says.
There is a lot more to that story, but I don’t think we will hear it today. We have been there for about an hour and a half when we hear a loud commotion coming from the front of the house.
“WHO IN THE FUCK PARKED THEIR SHITTY ASS CYCLE IN MY SPOT?” Tianya yells.
“EXCUSE ME BUT THAT IS A HARLEY AND IT IS FAR FROM SHITTY. I ALSO DIDN’T SEE YOUR NAME ENGRAVED ON THE PARKING SPOT.” Lance yells back.
I can hear a bunch of mumbling, and I feel they are stomping back here, looking for a fight. I smirk when they stop and see the four of us standing here.
“What in the fuck are you guys doing here?” Kylynn asks.
“We invited them.” Dalton answers.
The look they level the guys with is deadly. I have to hold in my laugh when the guys shrug their shoulders and walk off to grab something else to drink.
“Those assholes need to stop sticking their noses in our business and our lives.” Tianya mumbles.
“Those assholes just wanted to give us a heads up and not let us blindly walk into your family if things work out between a few of us.” Alek points out.
“You're lucky you’re so damn sexy or I would kick your ass right now for even listening to my cousins and friends. I can only imagine what my brothers and father said to you before I got here.” Tianya quips.
Alek lays his arm across her shoulders as Riley, Sam, Xavier, and Bethany stare at him. They are also staring at Kylynn and Tianya. Their eyes stray over to us, and they glare at us. No, we didn’t tell them who would be at the barbeque. We just told them it was some of our friends and their families. We neglected to tell them who those friends were. I look down when I feel a hand touch my arm.
“Hey little sprite.” I say.
“Hey to you to. I wasn’t expecting to see you here.” Everly says.
“Yeah, it was kinda a surprise when they walked into my office the other day and started telling us who they were and who they were related to. We were even more surprised when they invited us to come to this.” I explain.
“Kaden who is the beautiful woman?” My mom asks.
“Mom this is Everly. Everly this is my mom Claire and the guy walking up behind her is my dad Mark.” I say to her.
“It is nice to meet you both.” Everly replies.
I can tell that my parents like her immediately. She is so polite to them and sweet that there is no way not to like her. I hear her tell my parents that she will be right back as she weaves through the mass of people in this yard.
“Kaden she is so beautiful, sweet, and charming please make sure to keep her around.” Mom states.
“I like her son I think she is good for you. I swear she looks familiar to me but I don’t know why.” Dad adds.
“Yeah the four of us think that as well but we can’t think of where and why she looks familiar,” I comment.
We all look up when we hear yelling to see Kylynn smacking one of her brothers on the back of his head. He tells her to stop, but she keeps smacking him. Who knows what he said or did, but I can tell he is getting an ear full of it. I spot Lance in the mass of people and notice that his gaze seems fixed on someone. I follow his gaze and notice that his eyes are fixed on Jenna. Well, this is an exciting turn of events. I can’t blame him, though. The girl is gorgeous, just like the others. She is the same height as Kylynn and Tianya but has long black hair that falls in soft waves down to her ass. One would call the waves in her hair beach waves. She has the most alluring eyes as they are the color of liquid gold with red flakes. She looks like she has fire in her eye color. Her naturally sunkissed skin tone fits with her hair and eyes perfectly. She has tattoos but not as many as the other girls, and with her nose and eyebrow pierced, she is more than Lance’s type. I notice she is talking with his parents, and I am surprised by that.
“You should talk to her.” I tell him.
“Damn it don’t sneak up on me like that. “ He snarks.
“I didn’t. I have been standing here for ten minutes you have just been to caught up at staring at Jenna you didn’t notice me.” I retort.
I can tell he is afraid of something, but I am not sure what it is. Lance is the man whore out of the four of us. He is a serial dater and swears that he cannot settle down. I am not saying he hasn’t slept with his share of women, but he tends to date them, not fuck them, but he is also not a saint.
“Listen just talk to her. Who know’s maybe she is the one.” I point out.
I know we are all getting sick of the dating scene and want to find the one. I know Lance is afraid that he would mess things up, but I think this time will be different. These girls aren’t like the spoiled, superficial rich bitches we have dealt with. He takes a breath and walks over to where she is standing, still talking to his parents. Her eyes get very round when Lance stops and joins in their conversation.
“What is so funny?” Everly asks.
I tell her about Lance, and she looks up and watches the scene unfold. I catch Brent out of the corner of my eye talking with Kylynn. She is practically sitting on his lap, and I see the stupid smile on his face. He has it bad for her, but I am not one to say anything. Considering the woman standing beside me has me under her spell, there is no way I can give him any shit for being whipped. I look around and notice that the four younger ones have calmed down and are quickly getting along with a few others their age. Drew has a younger brother, Justin, who is the same age as others, and apparently, Gabe has a younger, Sierra, sister as well. Trevor and Korey have two younger siblings, Nika and Tristian. I guess Nika is brilliant and is in the same grade as the others, even though she is only 16.
“We are trying to get Dani to move here so she can be around family. Kylynn and Tianya talked to her yesterday and I think they finally convinced her so hopefully we can ge her here before the start of her senior year.” Vienna says.
All the parents, grandparents, uncles, and aunts have left; it is just us and our siblings left. Everly is sitting in my lap. She did that on her own. Alek asks more about Dani, and Tianya explains more in-depth about her parents. It was funny that Sierra, Justin, Nika, and Tristian went to Legion when their older siblings went to Summerhill High.
“We actually wanted to go to Legion for the sports program. I have nothing against the public school but Summerhill High has gone downhill since they were in school. It has become very overcrowded. “ Tristian explains.
“Well, we are glad you guys go to our school. We are all great friends and if Dani attends we will make sure she fits into our little group as well.” Justin says.
Kylynn pulls out her phone and pulls up a picture of a young girl who, I am guessing, is Dani. She is gorgeous with long silvery purple hair and crystal aqua green eyes. She has a dusting of pale freckles across her nose and apples off her cheeks. Tianya tells us that she is the same height as them. I notice that Xavier is staring at Dani’s picture. Sam and Xavier are twins, but they are not identical. They are both the same height at 6’4” and have their father's dark aquamarine eyes (Alek shares this same eye color), but that is where the similarities stop. Sam has his father’s dark hair, while Xavier takes after their mother with her sun lightened, slightly curly strawberry blonde hair.
“When is she going to move down here?” I ask.
“We are flying up to North Carolina in two weeks to help her pack her shit and then we are driving her back down. She bought a house here a few weeks ago and I have been staying in it. I was getting it set up with her new furniture and having it painted and decorated the way she wants. The only things she is bringing are her clothes and a few things that she can’t part with. She wanted a fresh start.” Kylynn says.
I smirk when I notice that she sits her ass down in Brent’s lap and leans back. His hands are on her thighs, and he has the dopest smile. I am sure Riley has noticed, and I know he will give Brent shit about it later. I am positive that Kylynn and Tianya are happy that Riley, Sam, Xavier, and Bethany will welcome Dani with open arms. The others, I am sure, already know Dani, so I am not worried about her having issues at Legion. Something tells me that if she is anything like these other women, she has also been trained to defend herself.
“You need a ride home little sprite?” I ask.
“Umm if it isn’t too much trouble or out of your way.” Everly says.
I take her hand as we tell everyone good night. I had a great time today; I am sure the others also did. I open the door for her, and she slides into my car. I pull out of the driveway laughing because I see Tianya give Lance an earful about parking his Harley in her spot. I hear Everly laugh as well.
“Thanks for the ride.” Everly says.
“Anytime little sprite,” I reply.
She raises up on her toes as I lean down. Sparks run through me as our lips meet, and I grab her hips, pulling her into me. Her arms wind around my neck as I grab the back of her thighs, picking her up and setting her on the hood of my car. I can feel her wrap her legs around me as I grab her perky little ass. She lets out a soft moan. The shorts I am wearing are getting uncomfortably tight.
“I should go.” I mumble against her soft lips.
“Ok, see you Tuesday for our meeting.” Everly sighs.
I pull away from her and set her back down on the ground. I give her one last kiss as she walks away. I wait till she is in her house to leave. The drive home is uncomfortable as hell, but oh well. I am unsure if I can wait till Tuesday to see her, but that isn’t that far off. I keep thinking back to what their grandmother said to her. She hugged Everly and told her that she had never seen her so happy and that she was glowing. Everly looked scared when their grandmother said this; however, I am unsure why. I will have to talk to Mom and see if she might be able to decipher the meaning of it.
I can officially say that I am stressed out. My date with Kaden went great, and I had a fantastic time. The restaurant was marvelous, as was the food. I still can’t believe a man like Kaden would want me, but Cole is right. The man is seriously drop-dead gorgeous. I don’t even come to his shoulders, and since he and Marshall (Kylynn’s oldest brother) are the same height, I know he is 6’3” with his short black hair and light pale forest green eyes (they remind me of stained glass), he is seriously delicious. His perfect pale brown skin suits him well. His parents are so sweet, and he is the perfect mix of the two of them. I almost had a heart attack when I saw Alek’s mother. I had my first doctor's appointment last Friday, and everything went well. My ob-gyn gave me some vitamins to take as well as some medication to help with the vomiting. It has worked great. I still get nauseous, but thankfully the vomiting has stopped for the most part. I was surprised that my ob-gyn wa
It has been a month since we met the women and the rest of their families. The gala was suspossed to be this weekend, but something happened, and it has been postponed. I am not sure when it will be held, but they told everyone that the tickets would be honored and that they were sincerely sorry they had to reschedule. None of us was overly sad about it. I know the girls were indifferent to the whole thing. Speaking of the women, they are out of town at the moment. They have been in Los Angeles for the last week. I am not sure why they had to go, but they are due back tomorrow. Everly went with them since they could schedule a meeting with someone there about a new idea for their business. I guess they are branching out from energy drinks. They haven't told us their new ideas, but I am sure they will once they return since we are their new advertising agency. “This sucks.” Lance groans. “I know but at least they will be back tomorrow.” Alek states. “You do realize that w
I look at the clock for the hundredth time today. It is only 10 am. Since Alek and I had that talk yesterday, I can’t think of anything else except Everly carrying my child. Of course, there is still no positive proof that she is pregnant. She may have just gained weight. I am trying not to jump to conclusions. I knew Alek would try and get his mom to tell him, but she refused. I told him to stop since it was against her oath as a doctor. Everly and I have been texting back and forth, and she has not given any hints as to whether she is pregnant. I asked Alek not to say anything to Lance or Brent until I could confirm she was pregnant. I am not hiding anything; I want to ensure it is accurate before I let them know. This is a private matter between Everly and me, and until I am positive that she is carrying my child, I want it kept quiet. Once I know everything, we will decide when to let everyone else know. Tianya and Kylynn already know, but I would expect them to know.
I feel like shit as I wake up the following day. I sit in bed and pull my knees up to my chin; well, not quite, but as close as I can—images of last night flash through my mind. I should have known when his mother kept looking at me when we were at the bar-b-que. Last night was suspossed to be a great chance to get to know his parents better, but as usual, I ruined it. When his mother asked how far along I was, I thought I would vomit. I quickly came up with an excuse as to why I was glowing. We had just spent a little over a week in LA. We had been outside a lot then, and we all returned slightly tanner. When I looked at Kaden’s face, I knew he was pissed. I couldn’t even look at his parents after his mother called me out. I don’t even want to know what they think of me. I am sure I am not the girl they want their son with. It's not like Kaden will want anything to do with me now. I pull myself out of bed and into the bathroom for a shower. I cried the entire time. Afte
I can tell that Everly is nervous as hell as we pull up to my parent's house. After last night I am sure she is terrified of seeing them again. I know for a fact that they are excited to see her and hear all about the baby. Mom called me while we were still at the site where our house would be built and asked if everything was ok. I told her that it was and that we would see her soon. I watched as Everly looked at the blueprints for the house. I admit that my heart was beating erratically when I told her I wanted her and our child to live with me in the house. When she fell apart in my arms, I knew that most of this deep-seated low self-esteem was caused by her stepmother. While the girls were in LA, I long talked with Dalton, Trevor, Korey, and Quade (Kylynn’s oldest brother). Drew, Gabe, Jayson (Tianya’s oldest brother), and Val (Kylynn’s other older brother) went with them to LA. I was told that Everly’s stepmother did an actual number on her. Dalton confirmed what the o
I slowly wake up when I feel something moving against me. I tighten my arm around whatever it is, but when my hand comes in contact with warm, soft skin, my eyes fly open. I am greeted with a bare neck and a few loose dark strawberry blond hair tendrils. I slip my hand farther up her shirt and onto the small bump. I still can’t believe that this beautiful woman is carrying my child. My aunt did tell us that Everly should start to feel our little man move soon. I can’t wait to feel him move within her. I couldn’t help but stare at her last night when she walked out wearing a tiny pair of pajama shorts and a tank top. Her bump was on full display. That was when I noticed how much her body had changed since she started showing. Of course, I noticed that her boobs have grown since I first saw her, which is to be expected, plus her curves have become more pronounced, especially around her hips. All of this has made her more beautiful in my eyes. I tighten my hold on her more when she starts
Getting out of bed this morning was difficult, not because of my stomach but because Kaden had me wrapped up in his arms. I was comfortable and warm, and he was kissing my neck. Which I thought was wrong. All that did was make me horny, and that isn’t hard to do these days. With all these hormones racing through my body, one look from him, and I am ready to go. Even the most innocent touches turn me on. I made sure to lock him out of the bathrooms as I got ready so that he wouldn’t cause me to be late. “Earth to Everly, you want to stop thinking about your sexy man.” Kylynn says. “Oh god sorry, I got lost in my head. I was not thinking about Kaden. Plus you are one to talk. I catch you day dreaming about Brent all the time.” I retort. “I do not day dream about Brent all the time only sometimes. Besides this conversation is not about Brent it is about Kaden. Is living together going ok so far, I know it has only been a couple of days but still.” Kylynn states. “It is
I knew I had a smile on my face this morning. I am sure the guys thought I was crazy. After three rounds of out-of-this-world love-making, Everly and I finally fell asleep. The first time we were together was excellent, but even better this time. Seeing her naked and pregnant with my child affected my libido, and I had to have her. Seeing the changes in her body set off a fire within me, and I couldn’t keep my hands off her. I guess it is true what they say about pregnancy and raging hormones. She woke me up by wrapping her pretty little lips around my cock. Not to mention that I was late to work since she rode me while we were in the shower and then let me take her from behind before the shower ended. Of course, no one will say anything about being late since I am one of the bosses. “I am surprised you showed up.” Brent states. I had just sat down when he stood in my doorway with that smart-ass smirk. Ok, so these three will give me shit about being late, but they don’t c
One Year Later I had no idea that a toddler could move that fast. I am chasing Colton around the backyard. This little guy is quick. He is a year and a half now and growing like a weed. Everly and I got married six months ago, and everything has been great. Leaving him when we went on our honeymoon was hard, but I know he had a blast with his grandparents. He was thrilled when he got a set of golf clubs for Christmas. Dad and Aaron took him golfing when we were on our honeymoon; now, Colton is obsessed with it. He will actually sit there for hours and watch tournaments on tv. I will probably get him some golf lessons in a couple of years. He also loves hockey. That is thanks to Drew. Justin and Tristian. Those three are hockey fanatics and have taken Colton to several games. I laugh when I see Tianya and Kylynn walking over to where we are. They were suspossed to have started their next tour five months ago, but things happened. They had some issues with the recordings
Six months later “Are you laughing at me?” Kaden asks. “Yes, I am. I am sorry but it was funny.” I tell him. Kaden is a wonderful father to Colton. Colton loves being with his father. I am glad they have such a fantastic relationship, even if Colton is only six months. I can’t help but laugh at the two of them. Kaden was changing Colton’s diaper, and Colton just peed on his father. I was told stories about incidents like this happening, and luckily this is the first time that this has happened to Kaden. I walk over and take Colton from Kaden so he can get cleaned up. I laugh some more when Kaden pouts as he walks to our room. I am in love with our house. When Kaden showed me Colton’s nursery, I cried. I couldn’t believe he had done that for me. The nursery was set up perfectly, and I didn’t change a thing about it. I was surprised to see the glider there, but I love that. That is where I sit when I feed Colton. I love this little man so much. I am surprised that he
I let out a groan as I opened my eyes. The room was dimly lit, which I was thankful for. I looked at the wall, and it was plain white. I knew it wasn’t the room that I was being held in, but I had no idea where this room was. I could smell disinfectant and hear several different beeping sounds. I looked around and realized I was in the hospital. I immediately tried to get up but almost screamed as pain ripped through my stomach. I placed a hand on my stomach to find it soft and flat. I started to freak out when I didn’t feel my hard baby belly anymore. “Calm down, little sprite. Everything is fine.” Kaden says. I look to where his voice came from to see him standing there. His hand is on my arm, making me stay in bed. I look at him, and I can feel the tears in my eyes. I remember hearing several voices, and then the pain started. Shit, I went into labor at that damn house. I also remember seeing blood before I passed out. “Did I lose…” I start to say. “Hush, our litt
I was beyond pissed off. Not only had these assholes been playing games with us for almost a year now they had officially crossed the line. They had kidnapped Everly. I knew the moment Gio walked in that something was wrong. When he said that Everly had gone to meet me at the house after she had received a text from me, I knew they had her. I called Sean immediately and told him what had happened and that Everly had been taken. I could hear him growl on the other end of the line. He told us to meet at the house since she was taken from that place. There were several cars there when we pulled up. “Shit when did they get back?” Gio asked. Standing there arguing with Doug was none other than Tianya and Kylynn. They weren’t due back until tomorrow. I watch as everyone walks into the house. The five of us hurried inside, and I was surprised to see Dad there. He held up Everly’s handbag, and a new wave of anger rushed threw me. I grabbed it and started digging through it. I f
I slowly open my eyes. I almost get them open when I close them again quickly. The light in this room is blinding. I slowly open my eyes again and try to sit up. A bolt of pain rips through my head, making me grab it. I feel a large bump, and my hand comes in contact with something dry and crusty in my hair. I gingerly scoot back until my back hits the wall. I keep my eyes closed until my head stops spinning. I open them again and look around. I am in what appears to be a bedroom. I don’t recognize anything in this room. I sit there for a while, trying to figure out where I am when things slowly start coming back to me.__FLASHBACK__I had been fed up with being at the apartment and wanted to get out of the house. I jumped into the shower. I had a sweater dres
Three weeks is all we have left until our little man arrives. Aunt Lisa told us today that he could really arrive any day. I can tell that Everly is both excited and anxious. Honestly, I am feeling the same way. I still can’t believe that the birth of my son is that close. It seemed like yesterday when Everly walked into that meeting, and then I found out she was pregnant with my son. “You looked stressed,” Lance says. “I am not stressed. I am more anxious than anything. There are only three weeks left until the baby is here. Aunt Lisa told us that he could literally arrive any day now.” I reply. “Everything will be fine. Both of you have tons of support. I will admit your cousin is a big fucking crybaby.” Lance states.
Two more months is all I have left. Thank god, I am over being pregnant. I love my son and feel him move around, but my back is killing me. My feet hurt, and I feel like an overfilled water balloon. I am getting very worried that if he grows any more that I won’t be able to have him naturally. Aunt Lisa told me at my monthly appointment that everything was looking good. From her estimates, she says that he is 7lbs, maybe even a bit over that right now. Of course, that pushed me into overthinking mode. I shudder when I realize that if he gains a pound or more a month until I give birth, he could weigh 9lbs or more. There is no way I can push that out of my body. I can feel the panic attack starting.“Ok, you need to calm down. Everything is going to be fine.” Claire says.&
I am worried about Everly. She has been acting strange this last week. I know it has nothing to do with the pregnancy, so something else is happening. She doesn’t seem any more stressed than normal. I can tell that these last three months are going to be the hardest for her. Our little man has grown considerably, and Everly has been complaining of back pain. I make sure to run her a nice hot bath every night, which she enjoys, along with her nightly foot massages. I love seeing her pregnant with my son, but I also hate seeing her in pain. I talked with Aunt Lisa earlier, but she told me that there is nothing she can really do. She told me that this is normal for being in her third trimester of pregnancy. I hate that there is nothing I can do to help her. Aunt Lisa said doing the little things that I have been a big help in keeping Everly comfortable. I am glad she has stoppe
We met with Arthur two days ago, and I am still processing what he told us. I was expecting the mystery person to be one of moms relatives, but I was not expecting it to be my grandmother and one of my aunts. Ironically the two mystery people that showed up with the lawyer are the same to that randomly showed up that day at mom and dads and made a huge scene. I am not sure what to think. I looked at mom, and she didn’t seem surprised at all. Everly and dad were on the way to the airport to pick up Gio. He finally got everything straightened out with his family. He said that his dad is doing good and should be getting out of the hospital in a couple more days. They wanted to make sure there were no other clots anywhere before they sent him home.“How are you holding up?” Brent asks.&l
