I look at myself in the mirror one last time. I am beyond nervous as I grab my wallet and phone. I haven’t been this nervous since I was in high school. Ironically it had to do with Kylynn or Tianya at the time. I had seen a picture of the two of them that one of my friends had on his phone. How he got it and where he took it, I still don’t know, but I thought they were both beautiful. This was before the rock star thing and their dyed hair, tattoos, and body piercings. I had planned on finding them and asking both of them out.
I figured that one of them would at least say yes. If Alek or Brent knew about this, they would laugh at or hit me; I'm not sure which reaction I would get. I have no reason to be nervous, yet I am. I unlock my car and slide into the driver's seat. I click the button, shut the garage, and drive toward the address Everly sent me earlier today. I am fully aware that I have my work cut out for me when it comes to her, but I don’t care. Something about this woman makes me want to build something with her. I was a little surprised when I pulled up to the house. I was expecting more. I climb out of my car and walk up to her door. I stop breathing when she opens the door. Everly stands there in a dress that matches her bright baby-blue eyes perfectly. She finished the look with black thigh-high boots. She has left her gorgeous red hair down with soft curls in it. Damn, this woman is beautiful.
“The dress is to much isn’t it?” She asks cautiously.
“Litte sprite the dress is perfect.” I tell her.
I lace our hands together as she locks her door. I open the car door for her, and she slides into the seat. After shutting her door, I walk around to my side and climb behind the wheel. I slip my hand back into hers as I drive to the restaurant. I am taking her to a new upscale cafe. It specializes in healthier meals, so no greasy food. She is still battling her stomach bug, so I figured a place like this would be perfect. I hear her gasp when we pull up to the restaurant. I step out of the car and walk to her side. I open the door and offer her my hand, which she takes as she climbs out. I hand the keys to the valet and slip my arm around her dainty waist. She fits perfectly against my side as we walk into the restaurant.
“Don’t pay attention to them. They are just jealous that I am here with the most beautiful woman in this place.” I whisper in her ear.
I was more than aware of the looks the other women in the place were giving her. None of them compared to Everly, though. They were just jealous that I had her on my arm. She is the only one I want on my arm. We have not told them about our coming to the family barbecue this Sunday. We figured it would be a surprise. I am sure they will have much to say to their family and us when we show up. I know that Mom and Dad are coming. Brent’s parents and his younger brother are attending, and Alek, his patent, and his younger brothers are also coming. Lance’s parents are also coming, as is his younger sister. I already know that Brent’s younger brother Riley, Alek’s fraternal twin brothers Sam and Xavier, and Lance’s younger sister Bethany will shit their pants when Kylynn and Tianya appear.
“What is so funny?” Everly asks.
“Just thinking of something that is going to happen this weekend.” I answer.
“Ok, and this place is amazing. We have been wanting to come here since we heard it opened. Tianya and Kylynn are going to be so damn jealous when I tell them where you took me.” Everly says.
“Speaking of that do you have any idea what is going on with Alek and Tianya or Kylynn and Brent?” I ask.
I watch as a smirk slides across her face. Of course, she knows something. I mean, those three are best friends. I lean towards her as she takes a drink of her water. I was surprised that she only wanted water, but then I remembered she was still not feeling a hundred percent. I swear her skin is glowing under the light in this place. She looks so radiant.
“ I know that Alek and Tianya are on their own date tonight. He took her to Bella Luna since those two love their Mexican food. I am not sure what is going on with Kylynn and Brent. I know they have been talking a lot but I am inclined to think something is happening since he showed up today with lunch for the two of them. I do know that Kylynn had no idea he was coming so I am guessing he did it to surprise her. I know she is a lot more cautious than Tianya and I am not sure why. Everyone thinks it has to do with her ex Chase but I think there is something else behind why she is so cautious about getting into a relationship.” Everly admitted.
I knew that bastard was up to something when he said he needed to take care of something. Brent has never been good at lying and is terrible at poker. We had already been told about Kylynn's ex, but it sounds like there is more to it than just that asshole. I wonder if the guys know anything else. Alek said nothing about having a date tonight, but I felt he had asked her out. I start chuckling after she tells me this. She even starts laughing. I love her laugh. The food is good, and our conversation flows excellently throughout the date. I paid the bill and left the restaurant the way we came in, with my arm wrapped around her waist. The valet opened the doors to the car for the both of us, and I slipped my hand in hers as I drove off.
“I had a great time tonight.” Everly said.
“I glad to know that. I hope that means that you will go on a second with me.” I comment.
“I would like that a lot Kaden.” She whispers.
Hearing her whisper my name takes me back to that night. She squeaks when I grab her luscious hips and pull her to me. Her hands land on my chest as I look into her stunning eyes. I dip my head and touch my lips to hers as my arms wrap around her. I want her as close to me as possible. Her arms wind around my neck as I deepen the kiss. I kiss along her jaw and down her neck.
“Kaden.” She moans softly.
I kiss the spot at the base of her neck and lightly bite it. Her arms tighten around me, and that fuels my fire further. I continue sucking on her neck, knowing I am leaving a mark. Not that I care since everyone will know that she is mine. I finally pull myself away from her. She looks at me with hooded eyes, and I want nothing more than to take her into her house and repeat that night, but I don’t. I place another kiss on her lips as I take a step back.
“I’ll call you in the morning my little sprite.” I tell her.
“Ok have a good night Kaden.” She says softly.
Hearing her say my name has me close to turning around and continuing where we just left off, but I force myself to get into my car as she stands there watching. She waves at me as I drive off. I let out a breath as I drive back to my house. As I lay on my bed, I can’t get the feeling of her in my arms again out of my mind. There is something different about her, though. Her curves seem to have filled out more, and I swear her tits are larger than before. I don't know what it means, but I swear her body has changed since our last time together.
“Well how was the date last night?” Lance asked.
I was going to take Everly to breakfast, but she had something she needed to do with the girls, so I texted the guys and told them to meet me at our favorite cafe. I knew they wouldn’t pass that up, so here we are.
“It was perfect. I could ask Alek the samething.” I answer.
We all look at Alek, and he smirks at us. I know he isn’t shy about anything, so he doesn’t care about being put on the spot.
“My date with Tianya went great. We already have our second and third scheduled next week.” He announces.
“Damn brother you work fast.” Lance states.
“The moment she walked into that room for our meeting I knew that there was no way in hell I was letting any other guy have a chance. Everything in me told me that she was mine so I went after what I wanted.” Alek replies.
I pat him on the back. Good for him. He has always been the go-getter of our bunch. None of us backs down from getting something we want, but Alek has always jumped in headfirst and taken what he wants. Brent asks if we are ready for tomorrow, and we all say yes. We all want to meet their family to get them on our side. Something still bothers me about Everly’s family, but I can’t put my finger on it. Drew texted me, telling me we would be there around 10 in the morning. He thought getting to know all the fathers, uncles, and brothers would be perfect.
I can tell Alek and Brent are mildly concerned, but I don’t think they have anything to worry about. After breakfast, Alek and I head to Mom and Dad’s to see what is happening. I am sure Uncle Greg and Aunt Lisa will be there. Alek’s dad and mine are brothers, even if no one believes we are cousins. My mother is African American, and I got her light clear green eyes and skin tone. I definitely got my height from Dad. I think I am a good mix of both my parents. I know they wanted more children, but for reasons unknown, they could never. I asked why they never adopted, and they said they just never thought about it but did tell me they felt terrible that I was an only child. I told them I had Alek and the others, so I never felt alone. I wanted a younger sibling for a while, but I never said anything to either. It really didn't bother me at all. As I said, I had Alek, Brent, and Lance, so I wasn't alone. Then they all had siblings, so there was that. They always come over on Saturday to visit. I can’t wait for tomorrow. I get to meet their family, and I get to see Everly again.
Ok, maybe the four of us should have been more concerned about meeting their entire family than we were. All of the men in this family are fucking huge. They are all my height or taller. I think Cole’s dad has to be 6’10”. Hell, he might even be taller than that. I can tell you that we were scared shitless, but we sure as hell didn’t show it. After a half-hour of questions making sure we weren’t going to hurt their little girls, which is hilarious, they were OK with us. I wonder if they even know that their little girls beat the shit out of more than half the guys at our school. Alek and I were shocked when they greeted his dad and mine like they were old friends. “We are old friends. We all went to school together back in Atlanta. Not to mention college as well.” Dad says. “Speaking of where is Christian and Lucy?” Uncle Greg asks. “They ran into some hard times and things turned out bad for them. Last we heard they were in North Carolina but who knows.” Kylynn’s dad
I can officially say that I am stressed out. My date with Kaden went great, and I had a fantastic time. The restaurant was marvelous, as was the food. I still can’t believe a man like Kaden would want me, but Cole is right. The man is seriously drop-dead gorgeous. I don’t even come to his shoulders, and since he and Marshall (Kylynn’s oldest brother) are the same height, I know he is 6’3” with his short black hair and light pale forest green eyes (they remind me of stained glass), he is seriously delicious. His perfect pale brown skin suits him well. His parents are so sweet, and he is the perfect mix of the two of them. I almost had a heart attack when I saw Alek’s mother. I had my first doctor's appointment last Friday, and everything went well. My ob-gyn gave me some vitamins to take as well as some medication to help with the vomiting. It has worked great. I still get nauseous, but thankfully the vomiting has stopped for the most part. I was surprised that my ob-gyn wa
It has been a month since we met the women and the rest of their families. The gala was suspossed to be this weekend, but something happened, and it has been postponed. I am not sure when it will be held, but they told everyone that the tickets would be honored and that they were sincerely sorry they had to reschedule. None of us was overly sad about it. I know the girls were indifferent to the whole thing. Speaking of the women, they are out of town at the moment. They have been in Los Angeles for the last week. I am not sure why they had to go, but they are due back tomorrow. Everly went with them since they could schedule a meeting with someone there about a new idea for their business. I guess they are branching out from energy drinks. They haven't told us their new ideas, but I am sure they will once they return since we are their new advertising agency. “This sucks.” Lance groans. “I know but at least they will be back tomorrow.” Alek states. “You do realize that w
I look at the clock for the hundredth time today. It is only 10 am. Since Alek and I had that talk yesterday, I can’t think of anything else except Everly carrying my child. Of course, there is still no positive proof that she is pregnant. She may have just gained weight. I am trying not to jump to conclusions. I knew Alek would try and get his mom to tell him, but she refused. I told him to stop since it was against her oath as a doctor. Everly and I have been texting back and forth, and she has not given any hints as to whether she is pregnant. I asked Alek not to say anything to Lance or Brent until I could confirm she was pregnant. I am not hiding anything; I want to ensure it is accurate before I let them know. This is a private matter between Everly and me, and until I am positive that she is carrying my child, I want it kept quiet. Once I know everything, we will decide when to let everyone else know. Tianya and Kylynn already know, but I would expect them to know.
I feel like shit as I wake up the following day. I sit in bed and pull my knees up to my chin; well, not quite, but as close as I can—images of last night flash through my mind. I should have known when his mother kept looking at me when we were at the bar-b-que. Last night was suspossed to be a great chance to get to know his parents better, but as usual, I ruined it. When his mother asked how far along I was, I thought I would vomit. I quickly came up with an excuse as to why I was glowing. We had just spent a little over a week in LA. We had been outside a lot then, and we all returned slightly tanner. When I looked at Kaden’s face, I knew he was pissed. I couldn’t even look at his parents after his mother called me out. I don’t even want to know what they think of me. I am sure I am not the girl they want their son with. It's not like Kaden will want anything to do with me now. I pull myself out of bed and into the bathroom for a shower. I cried the entire time. Afte
I can tell that Everly is nervous as hell as we pull up to my parent's house. After last night I am sure she is terrified of seeing them again. I know for a fact that they are excited to see her and hear all about the baby. Mom called me while we were still at the site where our house would be built and asked if everything was ok. I told her that it was and that we would see her soon. I watched as Everly looked at the blueprints for the house. I admit that my heart was beating erratically when I told her I wanted her and our child to live with me in the house. When she fell apart in my arms, I knew that most of this deep-seated low self-esteem was caused by her stepmother. While the girls were in LA, I long talked with Dalton, Trevor, Korey, and Quade (Kylynn’s oldest brother). Drew, Gabe, Jayson (Tianya’s oldest brother), and Val (Kylynn’s other older brother) went with them to LA. I was told that Everly’s stepmother did an actual number on her. Dalton confirmed what the o
I slowly wake up when I feel something moving against me. I tighten my arm around whatever it is, but when my hand comes in contact with warm, soft skin, my eyes fly open. I am greeted with a bare neck and a few loose dark strawberry blond hair tendrils. I slip my hand farther up her shirt and onto the small bump. I still can’t believe that this beautiful woman is carrying my child. My aunt did tell us that Everly should start to feel our little man move soon. I can’t wait to feel him move within her. I couldn’t help but stare at her last night when she walked out wearing a tiny pair of pajama shorts and a tank top. Her bump was on full display. That was when I noticed how much her body had changed since she started showing. Of course, I noticed that her boobs have grown since I first saw her, which is to be expected, plus her curves have become more pronounced, especially around her hips. All of this has made her more beautiful in my eyes. I tighten my hold on her more when she starts
Getting out of bed this morning was difficult, not because of my stomach but because Kaden had me wrapped up in his arms. I was comfortable and warm, and he was kissing my neck. Which I thought was wrong. All that did was make me horny, and that isn’t hard to do these days. With all these hormones racing through my body, one look from him, and I am ready to go. Even the most innocent touches turn me on. I made sure to lock him out of the bathrooms as I got ready so that he wouldn’t cause me to be late. “Earth to Everly, you want to stop thinking about your sexy man.” Kylynn says. “Oh god sorry, I got lost in my head. I was not thinking about Kaden. Plus you are one to talk. I catch you day dreaming about Brent all the time.” I retort. “I do not day dream about Brent all the time only sometimes. Besides this conversation is not about Brent it is about Kaden. Is living together going ok so far, I know it has only been a couple of days but still.” Kylynn states. “It is
One Year Later I had no idea that a toddler could move that fast. I am chasing Colton around the backyard. This little guy is quick. He is a year and a half now and growing like a weed. Everly and I got married six months ago, and everything has been great. Leaving him when we went on our honeymoon was hard, but I know he had a blast with his grandparents. He was thrilled when he got a set of golf clubs for Christmas. Dad and Aaron took him golfing when we were on our honeymoon; now, Colton is obsessed with it. He will actually sit there for hours and watch tournaments on tv. I will probably get him some golf lessons in a couple of years. He also loves hockey. That is thanks to Drew. Justin and Tristian. Those three are hockey fanatics and have taken Colton to several games. I laugh when I see Tianya and Kylynn walking over to where we are. They were suspossed to have started their next tour five months ago, but things happened. They had some issues with the recordings
Six months later “Are you laughing at me?” Kaden asks. “Yes, I am. I am sorry but it was funny.” I tell him. Kaden is a wonderful father to Colton. Colton loves being with his father. I am glad they have such a fantastic relationship, even if Colton is only six months. I can’t help but laugh at the two of them. Kaden was changing Colton’s diaper, and Colton just peed on his father. I was told stories about incidents like this happening, and luckily this is the first time that this has happened to Kaden. I walk over and take Colton from Kaden so he can get cleaned up. I laugh some more when Kaden pouts as he walks to our room. I am in love with our house. When Kaden showed me Colton’s nursery, I cried. I couldn’t believe he had done that for me. The nursery was set up perfectly, and I didn’t change a thing about it. I was surprised to see the glider there, but I love that. That is where I sit when I feed Colton. I love this little man so much. I am surprised that he
I let out a groan as I opened my eyes. The room was dimly lit, which I was thankful for. I looked at the wall, and it was plain white. I knew it wasn’t the room that I was being held in, but I had no idea where this room was. I could smell disinfectant and hear several different beeping sounds. I looked around and realized I was in the hospital. I immediately tried to get up but almost screamed as pain ripped through my stomach. I placed a hand on my stomach to find it soft and flat. I started to freak out when I didn’t feel my hard baby belly anymore. “Calm down, little sprite. Everything is fine.” Kaden says. I look to where his voice came from to see him standing there. His hand is on my arm, making me stay in bed. I look at him, and I can feel the tears in my eyes. I remember hearing several voices, and then the pain started. Shit, I went into labor at that damn house. I also remember seeing blood before I passed out. “Did I lose…” I start to say. “Hush, our litt
I was beyond pissed off. Not only had these assholes been playing games with us for almost a year now they had officially crossed the line. They had kidnapped Everly. I knew the moment Gio walked in that something was wrong. When he said that Everly had gone to meet me at the house after she had received a text from me, I knew they had her. I called Sean immediately and told him what had happened and that Everly had been taken. I could hear him growl on the other end of the line. He told us to meet at the house since she was taken from that place. There were several cars there when we pulled up. “Shit when did they get back?” Gio asked. Standing there arguing with Doug was none other than Tianya and Kylynn. They weren’t due back until tomorrow. I watch as everyone walks into the house. The five of us hurried inside, and I was surprised to see Dad there. He held up Everly’s handbag, and a new wave of anger rushed threw me. I grabbed it and started digging through it. I f
I slowly open my eyes. I almost get them open when I close them again quickly. The light in this room is blinding. I slowly open my eyes again and try to sit up. A bolt of pain rips through my head, making me grab it. I feel a large bump, and my hand comes in contact with something dry and crusty in my hair. I gingerly scoot back until my back hits the wall. I keep my eyes closed until my head stops spinning. I open them again and look around. I am in what appears to be a bedroom. I don’t recognize anything in this room. I sit there for a while, trying to figure out where I am when things slowly start coming back to me.__FLASHBACK__I had been fed up with being at the apartment and wanted to get out of the house. I jumped into the shower. I had a sweater dres
Three weeks is all we have left until our little man arrives. Aunt Lisa told us today that he could really arrive any day. I can tell that Everly is both excited and anxious. Honestly, I am feeling the same way. I still can’t believe that the birth of my son is that close. It seemed like yesterday when Everly walked into that meeting, and then I found out she was pregnant with my son. “You looked stressed,” Lance says. “I am not stressed. I am more anxious than anything. There are only three weeks left until the baby is here. Aunt Lisa told us that he could literally arrive any day now.” I reply. “Everything will be fine. Both of you have tons of support. I will admit your cousin is a big fucking crybaby.” Lance states.
Two more months is all I have left. Thank god, I am over being pregnant. I love my son and feel him move around, but my back is killing me. My feet hurt, and I feel like an overfilled water balloon. I am getting very worried that if he grows any more that I won’t be able to have him naturally. Aunt Lisa told me at my monthly appointment that everything was looking good. From her estimates, she says that he is 7lbs, maybe even a bit over that right now. Of course, that pushed me into overthinking mode. I shudder when I realize that if he gains a pound or more a month until I give birth, he could weigh 9lbs or more. There is no way I can push that out of my body. I can feel the panic attack starting.“Ok, you need to calm down. Everything is going to be fine.” Claire says.&
I am worried about Everly. She has been acting strange this last week. I know it has nothing to do with the pregnancy, so something else is happening. She doesn’t seem any more stressed than normal. I can tell that these last three months are going to be the hardest for her. Our little man has grown considerably, and Everly has been complaining of back pain. I make sure to run her a nice hot bath every night, which she enjoys, along with her nightly foot massages. I love seeing her pregnant with my son, but I also hate seeing her in pain. I talked with Aunt Lisa earlier, but she told me that there is nothing she can really do. She told me that this is normal for being in her third trimester of pregnancy. I hate that there is nothing I can do to help her. Aunt Lisa said doing the little things that I have been a big help in keeping Everly comfortable. I am glad she has stoppe
We met with Arthur two days ago, and I am still processing what he told us. I was expecting the mystery person to be one of moms relatives, but I was not expecting it to be my grandmother and one of my aunts. Ironically the two mystery people that showed up with the lawyer are the same to that randomly showed up that day at mom and dads and made a huge scene. I am not sure what to think. I looked at mom, and she didn’t seem surprised at all. Everly and dad were on the way to the airport to pick up Gio. He finally got everything straightened out with his family. He said that his dad is doing good and should be getting out of the hospital in a couple more days. They wanted to make sure there were no other clots anywhere before they sent him home.“How are you holding up?” Brent asks.&l
