Chapter One

Peep! Peep! Peep!

The sound of the patient monitor was terrifying, like being in a haunted house.

Gerald can only pat his wife on the back, who just woke up from fainting, knowing their youngest child had an accident.

"He is fine," whispered Gerald. This is the worst accident he has ever seen in his life, let alone happen to his youngest son, making Rara fainted many times.

The parameters displayed on the screen include heart rate, blood pressure, breath and heart rhythm, oxygen level, body temperature, and an ECG chart. Even though Rara and Gerald don't know which heart rate, blood pressure, etc. They just looked at the graphic, feeling horror like in the movies, because the graphic could have gone straight and cost Asher's life.

Asher's condition cannot be started, and it is far from okay. His body is crushed and unconscious—lots of broken bones.

All Asher family gather there.

There are Kelsea, Skye, Verena, and their parents. Asher has three older sisters, and he himself is a son in their family.

"Asher will be fine." They often strengthened their mother, who kept crying and ended up fainting because she could not see Asher's condition.

Skye brought her lover—Bryce with her, and they were getting married in a moment. Kelsea is still with a lover who she keeps secret from all of her family. Verena wants to get a partner like her father and hopes to reincarnate and marry her father.

They could only see Asher's body stiff and lying helplessly with many supporting tools that they did not understand any mechanisms.

"Mommy is eating, okay?" Rara just shook her head, kept thinking about her child. Asher is the favorite child. Moreover, Asher was the last child and only son.

She looked at the monitor screen, and the graphics were still moving, not just perpendicular, like in the movies.

They don't know precisely what the chronology of the incident was, but suddenly they got the news that two teenagers had an accident and the other one died on the spot, it's miserable. Asher's body was pinched and was still saved, even though it had to end up in a coma-like now.

Verena looked at her brother. She and Asher were close. Of course, she was sad and devastated by an incident like this, still wondering why there could be something like this. The family gathered in the emergency room until Asher was transferred to the regular room and remained unconscious.

Verena attends Lizzy's funeral because she knows Lizzy well. Everyone is sad about this accident.

The police are currently looking for the cause of the accident, although it is still suspected that it was only Asher's negligence. At the same time, Asher cannot be questioned because he is unconscious.

Verena just stood there silently. She watched Lizzy's funeral, which ended sadly, Lizzy was a cheerful and kind girl who made everyone like her figure, but her sudden departure made everyone sad.

"Everyone is sad about Lizzy's departure. I can't imagine how Asher must have felt when he realized that his girlfriend was dead." Verena's mind is on the hospital, and she remembers her Mommy keeps fainting from seeing Asher like this, let alone Lizzy's parents.

Verena turned towards Mark. Mark likes Verena, but Mark is not the type of guy she likes. Verena likes adult men who are like her father.

"Oh, you're right. Even I suspect you made all this. You envy Asher because he got what he wanted."

"You are reckless accusations, Honey. I'm not that humble." Verena just rolled her eyes lazily. She and Asher never liked Mark. The trouble maker Mark, with all the annoying things he has. Even though Asher was the same, she could still accept her brother's misbehavior.

"Fuck off, your useless ass! I disgust see your face!" said Verena. She is an honest human who speaks the truth and does not care about other people's feelings. She immediately spits out what is in hed head.

"We'll see, dear Verena. You'll be in my arms as soon as possible."

"Go to the hell!" said Verena fiercely. Mark even chuckled, making Verena want to hit Mark on the head with a rock so that this man quickly regained consciousness.

"Go to the hell with you!" Verena took out her middle finger and pointed at Mark. Mark was more and more entertained. He wanted to have a lover like this Asher brother, chatty but very brave. This kind of woman spurred his male soul to show that if he could beat them, he thought it would be that easy with all the charm and reputation as a racer, even though Asher was still an idol. Mark remains second only to Asher, and he thinks his revenge for all his defeats on Asher goes past the Asher sister's, but not that easy. 

It's just that Mark has a thousand and one ways for everyone to acknowledge his existence. If Asher's siblings can't be conquered, he has a way for everyone to look him way!

The room still feels terrifying. The doctors are doing very well, an operation that has been running for eighteen hours. And if it doesn't work, then all hope that has been nurtured will be dashed.

Worried and sweaty, the doctors finally succeeded. Her parents are thrilled. After waiting so long and long, now everything is paid off. They embraced her with emotion and kissed affectionately, even though she was just silent and did not understand the new world she had just stepped into.

Everything felt strange and foreign to her, but when she saw happy faces with a comfortable and emotional hue, her heart warmed up too. She smiled. Maybe after this, she could continue to smile.

Rara's cries grew even more potent, and after seeing Asher's fingers move, it seemed like the woman could finally breathe properly. All this time, she had been holding her breath, unable to bear the suffering of her youngest son.

"Asher, my baby." For Rara, Asher is still a three-year-old child who needs her attention, especially when Asher is like this. He will be treated like a baby.

"Hey, Baby. Finally, you realized you don't know how Mommy is anxious and waiting for you. Are you aware and know that Mommy is always waiting for you?" She whispered in Asher's ear, stroking Asher's bandaged head. Rara could see her tears falling on Asher's pillow.

"Hey, Baby."

"M-mommy." His dry, pale lips whispered, but Rara hugged Asher even more affectionately. Finally, after almost a month, she missed this voice. She could finally hear it again.

"Mommy here. Mommy and Daddy, and your sisters will always be here for you."

"W-water." With her hands shaking despite being happy, Rara took the water from the glass, put a straw, and gave it to Asher.

"Hey, bro. You slept so long. I barely had friends fighting, you finally realized." said Verena with her hands in front of her chest. She and Asher often have pillow fights, and the referee is their Mommy screaming to stop.

Almost after that glass of water, Asher drank even though he was half to death, but his pale lips looked fresher now.

"Now, what do you want? Mommy, call the doctor." Asher coded through his lips, with no word. 

"I can't wait to hit you," commented Verena again. She was happy. She was also sad because Asher seemed to have lost his life. She feels lonely because she doesn't have friends to fight with, her two sisters don't like to play with her.

Gerald enters and immediately hugs his wife. Finally, after their long wait, Asher comeback from his long sleep.

Rara cried again in her husband's arms, and Gerald wiped his wife's tears fondly, kissing the two eyeballs in turn. Verena saw her father, and she promised to have a man like her father, not a man without a direction in life like Mark. Verena likes adult men.

"You still have £50 in debt, too. You have to come to your senses and pay off your debt." Verena didn't stop rambling on.

Rara approached Asher, and she restrained Asher's fingers that were moving.

"Tell me, what do you want?" whispered Rara. She was still hugging Asher carefully before Asher's wounds were knocked over.

"Mom." Rara smiles. Hi voice was more unmistakable now.

"Lizzy. Where's Lizzy? I just heard Verena's ugly voice." Rara immediately stood up tense, looking at her husband. Wonder why their children are all magical? Even in this situation, he was still able to mock others.

"Lizzy's there." Rara knew this was stupid. But she wants Asher to get well soon, even if she has to lie to her son.

"Get well soon, and you'll see Lizzy." She knows, lie after lie will continue to be done to cover up other lies.

"I want to meet Lizzy."

"You will see each other soon. Get well soon."

Verena, who had been chattering, immediately fell silent. She knew how devastated Asher was when he found out that Lizzy died. Moreover, he was the one who made his lover stretch her life, even though it was all an accident. But Asher will indeed feel regret for the rest of his life.

And it's not easy!
