Memphis had taken control as soon as he had felt Scarlett try to reach out to both him and Nathaniel so that he could grab the connection and make it stronger knowing that they were far and that it would drain Scarlett very quickly.

Memphis and Griffin unfortunately couldn’t strengthen the connection to Nathaniel for her but he knew that if Scarlett was trying to contact him too it was really important. They were both surprised by what Scarlett had shared with them. However, with what was contained within that vision they are now relieved that Nathaniel, Hunter and Cole weren't able to witness it.

A vision of that intensity is one that can’t be ignored and one that must be changed as quickly as possible. Memphis sensed the difference of power and then saw the way Scarlett had received the vision, it was not a normal vision, it had to have come from either the highest of Angels, an Archangel or the Moon Goddess herself.
