**Lilith's POV**

I was in a panic. My heart pounded in my chest as I stared at him with stinging eyes. When we finally emerged from the large tunnel lit by artificial lamps, the dense forest opened up to reveal a long dirt path between the trees. It was well hidden but would be better used at night.

We were all wearing the necklaces given by Malia. The car was sprayed with something Damon used to hide our scent. If it weren’t for the sound of the engine, we would be completely imperceptible.

I looked back to find two pairs of eyes staring at me, while the other two remained still, sleeping like the beautiful babies they were. My beautiful nephews. Only three years old and already going through so much. What a hell. Who could have imagined, after all?
