85 — The End of the War**

I was so scared. My heart was racing. I curled my fingers around Jaden's hand and looked at him one last time as we took the elevator to the first floor to face the immense chaos.

"It's now or never," I finally said.

"That's right," he smiled at me, pulling me in for a kiss that made me gasp. I couldn't die. Not today. Not now.

I needed to win and get through this once and for all. For Jaden. For our children. For our peace. Finally, after this, we could find peace.

We would go to Cancun. Dubai. We'd visit all the most beautiful beaches in the world. We would be immensely happy, I knew it. I could feel it.

A blast hit us full force, and I was thrown back, feeling my body slam against the wall. I groaned, closing my eyes. The smoke was irritating.

A tall, lean figure appeared through the dust. He was tall, strong, and very handsome, but his face was cruel. His eyes were cruel and piercing. He clearly had malice.

"Well, well," he smiled. "Finally, we meet."

"Who are you?"
