Ariana shot her eyes closed tightly and rested her head on the back seat. Even though it had been ten years, the memory of her father leaving her still tormented and haunted her mind. She fisted her palm on her lap trying not to think about it, but it kept coming, Evey single time.
Her mothers car drove past resembling houses either with a different mail box or house address. They both moved into a new town, Westley coast.
A small town where we can have a perfectly normal life.
Her mother would say, but nothing had been normal talk less of perfectly normal for Ariana ever since her family split.
The car came to a stop and Ariana without hesitation, jumed out of the car, her butt was aching for seating too long. She gave a long stare at her house, it wasn't too big, and it was no where near small, it had a bright blue mailbox at the front and the porch of the house was wide. She gave a quick glance at the neighboring house beside hers and immediately hated the distance between them, it was like only four to five feet away from each other.
Silently, Ariana and her mother unpacked their belongings and put it where necessary. None of them uttering a word to each other.
Finding the silence rather uncomfortable, she went outside to get her luggages for her room. Reluctantly, she dragged the big bag off the car's trunk, then a car drive past her, spilling mud water on her trouser.
"Shit." She cursed, glaring hard at the car. A girl about twenty-two or so came out when the car was parked, texting on her phone. Ariana turned, not wanting to attention. She focused her attention back to the bag and kept on dragging it towards her house.
"Hey, you must be new here?" Ari froze at the new door of conversation. She turned to face who spoke and she saw a guy, standing next to the girl she just saw earlier. Not replying, Ariana rushed into the house.
She didn't say a word to her mother, but found her way to her empty room that had only a bed, a wardrobe and the door to the bathroom. She began unpacking, trying her best not to think of anything stupid.
If anyone tries to be friendly, ignore. If they get stubborn about it, punch them.
She stated to herself. It always seemed to be a remedy for her. She had only one motive in life. To die alone.
When she turned thirteen, Ari went for boxing training, she used it for her personal use. She called it self defense. Although it was a child's dream, she planned to achieve being a navy seal it in the nearest future.
Buzz buzz,Ari groaned at the sound of her alarm clock."It's morning already?" she grunted out almost tempted to touch the snooze button. Then again, she was taught never to be late for anything, even on her first day.She dragged her feet to the bathroom and tried her best to hurry her bath. After her morning rituals in her room, she jogged downstairs, opened the fridge, grabbed an apple and put it in her bag. She stuffed her already prepared avocado toast in her mouth and headed for the door."Mum, I'm out." she said audibly, even when she wasn't expecting a reply, even when she knew she and her mother never really connected anymore, even when she knew her mother wasn't home, even when she knew her mum wouldn't be back until 10 in the night. She just said it to feel like a teenager most times. She hopped on her bike, a gift her mother gave her when she turned sixteen. During the weekends, she studied the location of her school, so getting there wasn't hard. The school principal ha

But he got where she was heading to. She doesn't enjoy the company of friends. He opened his mouth to say something, but closes it again. "Fine, I guess you have a point. Ariana jerked up even before the sound of the alarm. She had programmed her brain last night to wake her up by 4am so she could go for a run. She slipped into her sports clothes and headed out. When she got out, she placed her earpiece in her ear and listened to her music as she jogged to the rhythm. She was engrossed in the music that she didn't notice a figure in front of her. Okay, maybe she noticed but decided to ignore it. She kept jogging and with each steps, the figure got closer, until... Ughf... They bumped into each other but she caught her stance before gravity took place. "Hey watch it. " Ari said frowning a little."Sorry... Ari? " The familiar voice called her name. She finally stared at the face and grunted."God do you follow me everywhere? " She sighed and he smiled. She so wants to punch that smile off his face. "Didn't know you did morning jogs." Austin said. "Ditto. " she placed her earpiece back and began leaving. "Hey. " He brought her back. "What do you
