Twenty Seven

Melody's POV:

It almost felt like flying. Except, I was falling.

I shut my eyes tightly not sure if I'll really fall on the ground. And just when I thought I was about to meet the ground, I fell in his arms.

Phew! I really thought I would be a mess of cracked bones.

"See? I told you I'd catch you." He murmured.

I opened my eyes as he put me on the ground. I could almost feel that adrenaline rush inside me.

"I could've come from the stairs." I said dusting my jeans.

He turned and looked around.

"What would be the fun in that?" He asked almost to himself.

I don't know why but something felt different with him today. I couldn't just put my finger on it.

"Come on." He said before I could say anything.

I opened my mouth but closed it when he started moving forward. I guess I had no choice but to follow him.
