Sixty One

Melody's POV:

I woke up, flinching slightly at the bright sunlight entering my eyes. After my vision adjusted a bit, I realized the storm had stopped. It was a beautiful, sunny morning.

I brought my hand up to my eyes and rubbed them. Turning my head, I saw Asher sleeping beside me.

Oh.

We both were sleeping on the floor.

My eyes widened a little as I realized that my body was totally flushed against his. One of his arm was underneath my head and the other was around my waist. I exhaled slowly hoping he wouldn't wake up.

I didn't want to pull away. Ever. I loved how comforting this was. I looked at his closed eyes. My fingers moved on it's own as they rested softly on his face. I slowly caressed the side of his face. It felt like he wasn't real. Raising my fingertips up to the back of his head, I touched his hair gently.

Something tugged within me as if this all had happened before. It must've. I sighed and placed my head on his shoulder hearing his rhythmic heartbeat against mine.
