Sixty Three

Melody's POV:

I jumped in my position when I felt something cold touch my back. Turning around, I glared at Amelia.

"I was just making sure you didn't loose your sense of touch too." She said narrowing her eyes at me.

I lowered my eyes, turning back to the cafeteria's line. I must've got lost in my thoughts again.

"Is something bothering you?" She asked from behind me.

I opened my mouth then shut it close. What guarantee did I have of what my mouth would say? Would she even understand the nightmare I had?

"No. I just had little sleep yesterday." I muttered taking a tray.

She nodded taking a tray too. When we got seated on one of the cafeteria tables, I took the apple gazing at it.

"So I heard about the Valentine's Dance the college's having." She said between munching her cookie. "You coming?"

I leaned back in my chair, still not taking a bite of my apple. My stomach felt heavy since I woke up. I don't even know if I'll ever have an appetite without looking back at that dream again.
