L I N D Y

Later that day, Milo and I spent the entire time with my mother while dad was the one who settled her hospital bills since she will be discharged tomorrow. I was amazed at how Milo was so good at keeping a conversation going despite the age gap that they both have and he even made my mother feel a little happier. He was incredibly good at entertaining people.

Dad decided to go home to shower and change his clothes so we decided to stay with mom for the night. I was beyond thankful that Milo was here with me and guarding my mom even if there was only one long couch for us to sleep on.

“Where would you sleep?” I ask Milo as we lounge on the sofa while mom had fallen asleep soundly on her bed.

“You don’t need to worry about that.” Milo smiles. “I can always sleep while I am sitting down.”
