Asher's POV

After that, Tamron started bringing different boys over everyday, I knew this was her way at getting over me so I gave her space, I avoided her durin breakfast, lunch and dinner. I avoided her practically every hour of the day, I didn't realize how lonely I was without our conversations and her flirty yet hurtful comebacks to everything. I soon started to miss her.

I was walking in a different hallway, the path that strayed from the normal ones that everybody uses and I bumped into her.

"Sorry." I said and turned to leave.

"Asher," she called then shook her head, "nevermind."

She walked past me. That was the last time we talked till the new semester was about to begin.

The week before my first day in the new school, Richard ordered me to come down for breakfast. I walked into the dining hall and sat next to Ben.

"Why aren't you eating?" Michael asked.

"I'm not hungry." I said, staring at the table instead of

Asher's POVMy fifth first day of school, you'd think I would've gotten used to it by now. I stood infront of the full body mirror, knotting my tie, when Ben and Tamron walked in. They still hadn't talked since last time."It's time to go." they said in unison but you could tell it wasn't planned by the shocked looks on their faces.Ben rolled his eyes and walked out, followed by Tamron. I picked my bag and trailed behind them. I did the same when we got to school, I was the talk of the whole junior building, rumors started going around since before I even started at the school because of Ben and Tamron's friends. Apparently, there were assigned classes and Ben and Tamron had different classes than mine, I could just imagine Ben scowling, having to sit next to her.As soon as I walked into my class, silence took over and everyone's attentions were on me. Their eyes followed me as I went to the front of the class to introduce myself and when I was walking

Asher's POV "How was your first day?" Richard asked during dinner. "Like you care." I scoffed. Richard turned to Ben, who was quick to spill everything, "He fit in better than you thought he would." "I see." The rest of the dinner was just eating. I tucked Lily in and went to my room, where Ben and Tamron were waiting for me. "So you guys are talking again?" I asked because I didn't hear Tamron apologize. "She apologized during class." Ben said. "And this was before or after lunch?" I asked. "A-" "Speaking of lunch, where did your boyfriend disappear to?" Tamron interrupted him. "Yeah, he said he was gonna throw something away but never came back." Ben concurred. "I don't know." I shrugged, "When I went back to class, he was already there so I just assumed that something came up." "Aw, did your boyfriend get jealous?" Tamron joked. "Drop it Tamron, Ben may have forgiven yo

Alex's POV"So where did you go with Cole yesterday?" Zoe asked, laying on my bed."Heaven." I sighed."So I take it you guys had sex... well whatever, here's the morning after pill." she threw a drugstore bag into my lap, "You should really tell Cole to wear a condom, who knows where his dick's been." she scoffed."I'll remember that for next time." I smiled, hoping that she'd catch it.She turned to me, wide-eyed, "Next time?!" she asked, shocked and I nodded, "I guess you're done feeling guilty.""Yeah, I think it was more about me wanting to know that he didn't like me anymore, like I wanted to know if it was actually okay to be with Cole." I said, looking at the pink contraceptive pill."Let's unpack that." she said, sitting up. "Why did you need permission from him in the first place?""I didn't need his permission.""But you just said, you wanted to know if it was okay for you to date Cole, to me that sounds like

  • Junior Year   Chapter Thirty-Three

Asher's POV It's been a few days and Remi still hasn't talked to me, is he really still angry for what happened last time? He said it was okay if it wasn't in school though. "Are you even listening to me?" Lina pouted. "Yes yes." I sighed. Wait a minute... who better to ask why he's avoiding me than his best friend? I guess this date wasn't for nothing. As I was about to ask the question, I heard his voice. "Lina?" he asked, unsure, moving closer to our table. "And Asher." he said, finally seeing me. "Yeah, we're on a date." she smiled. "Oh, you asked him out?" he asked, "And he said yes." he said, obviously disheartened. "He was just seething straight energy so I scooped him up before anyone else." she said. What she said was really offensive--assuming someone's sexual orientation-- I wanted nothing more than to prove her wrong. "Right, I'm gonna head out." he waved awkwardly. He started

Lina's POV "Remi." I waved at him to show him where I was sitting. He started walking over to the table and stopped in his tracks as soon as he saw Ethan, his ex-boyfriend, more like his fail of a first love. During our freshman year, he had a little crush on Ethan that blossomed into love, back then he didn't know how bad society reacted to people being gay and he confessed to Ethan, Ethan said he liked him too and they started "dating". One day, Remi was on his way to give him his birthday gift and overheard him and his friends talking about him. Ethan said that the only reason he was dating him was because and I quote, "If you put a bag over his head and block his dick out of your brain, it feels like you're fucking a girl." Ethan never realized that Remi had heard what he said but they broke up. He took Asher away from me so I knew I needed to get the upperhand and the heartbroken look on his face is the process of power passing on to me. He faked a smile

Cole's POV "No offense Cole but I think Alex should've chosen Asher." Zoe said. Chris looked at me in bewilderment, we were talking about our trip to Vegas so what she blurted had nothing to do with the conversation. I dropped my gaming console and sat to face her."And why do you think that?" I asked. "Well I just think my friend should be with a guy who isn't afraid to tell her he likes her because of some bogus oath." she said, not looking at me. "Well Asher didn't take that bogus oath." I said. I could hear the anger in my tone and she did too becasue beads of sweat started forming in different places on her face. "C-calm down Cole, she probably didn't mean it." Chris said, standing in front of Zoe, shielding her from me. "No, I did." Zoe said, pushing him away. "And actually, Asher did take the oath, Logan told me himself... Asher's POV Mmmm... it's been so long since I held her like this. I wrap my arms around her waist, pulling her closer to me as I delved in her taste, "I missed you so much." I whisper into her mouth. She broke the kiss, staring into my eyes and she smiled a very infectious smile, a smile that cut deep into my heart, before she kissed me again. ** We laid in bed together, making out for what seemed like an eternity until I finally broke away and turned to lay on my back. She moved in next to and rest her head on my arm while slowly tracing the scar across my chest. "Is it just me or is make up sex so much better?" she asks. I laughed, "Then maybe we should fight more often-" "No," she immediately says, "Not like that," she stared up at me, "never like that." "I was just kidding." I assured her and kissed her forehead. Now that we're back together, I feel like the worst is over. "What are you gonna do abou

  • Junior Year   Chapter Sixty

Alex’s POV A whole week had passed after that night, there was nothing from Asher, call, text, nothing. I texted him to apologize but he never got back to me, I called so much that his voicemail box filled up and he still hadn't gotten back to me. I hope he's okay. The teacher walked in briskly and pulled down the projector screen before moving over to her computer and typing aggressively, practically the whole class could hear it. "Ms. Brown, you're gonna break that if you don't calm down." Noah jested and the whole class laughed, even me. She looked at us and back at the computer, unbothered by his comment, we were about to graduate anyways, so the teachers could give a crap about teaching us anything. A few minutes into the period and Emma bursts into the classroom and pulls me out with her, "Excuse us." she said to the tecaher before we left. "Have you heard from Asher at all?" she asked.

Alex’s POV 2 weeks passed and we hadn’t talked or even exchanged glances and to be completely honest, I’ve been sleeping better ever since the break up, much better, I haven’t had nightmares and I don’t see his scars open up, but I’d be lying if I said he was doing good too. He always came into class either late or hungover and sometimes both, till he got suspended. We’re graduating soon so he shouldn’t be acting like this. I couldn’t help but think this was my fault but I just wanted him to put himself first. Emma stormed into the classroom and stopped right in front of my table, “You fucking bitch,” she yelled. “Miss Rodriguez.” the teached exclaimed. Emma ignored him and continued to glare at me, “It’s not my fault, he-”

Asher's POV Fuck, how didn't I notice this? I had nightmares before-- not that they were the same as this but, I knew the signs; dark circles under the eyes from lack of sleep which are clear under hers right now, the persistent fear, I could see the fear in her eyes when she looked at me, so somehow it's centered around me. "Can you tell me what you saw?" I whispered into her hair. She hiccuped and sniffled against my chest, he grip tightened on my arm and I knew she didn't want to talk about it. "You don't have to tell me right now," I said, stroking her hair, "you can tell me later." I looked at the clock in the hallway, it was 12:57pm, three more minutes till passing period. We have to get out of her before that. I picked her up, walked into the nearest empty classroom and plopped down on a chair, slowly cradling her on my lap, "It's okay." I whispered to her. We stayed this way for a while, passing period had gone by and luckily n

Alex's POV A month had passed since the cabin thing, most of Asher's wounds had healed and everyone was back in high spirits since graduation was coming up. This was our last year of high school, of course we'd be happy. Asher and I were currently on a picnic date-- our first date since spring break. Richard, Asher's dad, had told taken him to their mansion to recuperate and now he's back, I just hope that he's really okay, the doctor said that he would heal physically but it was a traumatic experience. "What are you thinking about?" Asher's voice cut through my thoughts. I shook my head, "Nothing." He stared at me, not believing a word I'd said, "Okay," he held my waist and pulled me to sit on his lap with my legs spread on either side on his thighs. "Asher, your chest." I gasped, struggling out of his hold. "I'm okay." he said and held me on him till I calmed down, he moved his hands from my waist and began to unbutton his sh

Alex's POV We approached the cabin quietly and watching out for any traps that they may have laid down for us. Zoe took my hand, pulled it over her head and wrapped her hand around my waist to help me walk. "He's gonna be just fine," I said, "right?" I asked, suddenly unsure of my former statement. Zoe didn't answer and just stared straight ahead at Cole and Chris's backs as we neared the cabin. Eva decided to stay in the car, she sounded like she didn't even care about Asher. "So what's the deal man?" I heard Chris whisper to Cole, "Why are you just okay with being Eva's henchman?" "I don't think this is the right time for this talk Chris." Cole spat. Chris remained silent the rest of the walk until we got to the cabin doors, "Just whatever it is man, nothing and I mean nothing will ever come between our friendship, no secret is that big." he said and immediately kicked down the door. "Asher!" I yelled immediately, hoping to s

Asher's POV I woke up to the sound of rustling in the room, followed by the door closing. I looked down to Alex who was sleeping peacefully in my arms, it was a nice feeling to wake up like this, I looked the window to see that the sky had cleared a little. I kissed her forehead and pushed off the duvet from my body, revealing all the various marks on her body and I couldn't help but smile, "I'm sorry." I whispered into her hair even though what I was feeling was far from remorse. I covered her fully so she wouldn't be cold and got up from the bed, my clothes which I had discarded on the floor weren't there anymore, I looked around, spotting the bags of snacks on the chest and the foot of the bed and then out clothes right next to it. I walked over and put on all my clothes before leaving the room. I walked into the kitchen to make some breakfast for us when I heard whispers coming from a room next to it. I didn't want to eavesdrop but I couldn't help myself and stuc

Asher's POV I heard his voice but Alex saw him first, I turned around to see the man. He was gruff and short, wearing a red flannel with a grey tank underneath that was pulled up over his big belly with brown stains on it and his jeans were unbuttoned, his fly was open. I looked down to his feet and immediately laughed, on one foot was a plain black slipper and on the other was a pink fluffy bunny slipper, he probably has a daughter and hurried down here. Just then a little girl and a woman appeared behind him. "Honey who was it?" she asked, and once her eyes fell on us, her expression softened, "Well aren't you a darling," she said and whispered something to the little girl before she walked over to Alex, "You must be cold. Come, I just drew a bath, you can get in if you want." "Um..." Alex looked to me then back at her, "Thanks." she said and was pulled into the cabin by the lady. The little girl walked up to me and grabbed my jeans, "And you come w
