Asher's POV
I woke up to the sound of rustling in the room, followed by the door closing. I looked down to Alex who was sleeping peacefully in my arms, it was a nice feeling to wake up like this, I looked the window to see that the sky had cleared a little. I kissed her forehead and pushed off the duvet from my body, revealing all the various marks on her body and I couldn't help but smile, "I'm sorry." I whispered into her hair even though what I was feeling was far from remorse.
I covered her fully so she wouldn't be cold and got up from the bed, my clothes which I had discarded on the floor weren't there anymore, I looked around, spotting the bags of snacks on the chest and the foot of the bed and then out clothes right next to it. I walked over and put on all my clothes before leaving the room. I walked into the kitchen to make some breakfast for us when I heard whispers coming from a room next to it. I didn't want to eavesdrop but I couldn't help myself and stuc
Alex's POV We approached the cabin quietly and watching out for any traps that they may have laid down for us. Zoe took my hand, pulled it over her head and wrapped her hand around my waist to help me walk. "He's gonna be just fine," I said, "right?" I asked, suddenly unsure of my former statement. Zoe didn't answer and just stared straight ahead at Cole and Chris's backs as we neared the cabin. Eva decided to stay in the car, she sounded like she didn't even care about Asher. "So what's the deal man?" I heard Chris whisper to Cole, "Why are you just okay with being Eva's henchman?" "I don't think this is the right time for this talk Chris." Cole spat. Chris remained silent the rest of the walk until we got to the cabin doors, "Just whatever it is man, nothing and I mean nothing will ever come between our friendship, no secret is that big." he said and immediately kicked down the door. "Asher!" I yelled immediately, hoping to s
Alex's POV A month had passed since the cabin thing, most of Asher's wounds had healed and everyone was back in high spirits since graduation was coming up. This was our last year of high school, of course we'd be happy. Asher and I were currently on a picnic date-- our first date since spring break. Richard, Asher's dad, had told taken him to their mansion to recuperate and now he's back, I just hope that he's really okay, the doctor said that he would heal physically but it was a traumatic experience. "What are you thinking about?" Asher's voice cut through my thoughts. I shook my head, "Nothing." He stared at me, not believing a word I'd said, "Okay," he held my waist and pulled me to sit on his lap with my legs spread on either side on his thighs. "Asher, your chest." I gasped, struggling out of his hold. "I'm okay." he said and held me on him till I calmed down, he moved his hands from my waist and began to unbutton his sh
Asher's POV Fuck, how didn't I notice this? I had nightmares before-- not that they were the same as this but, I knew the signs; dark circles under the eyes from lack of sleep which are clear under hers right now, the persistent fear, I could see the fear in her eyes when she looked at me, so somehow it's centered around me. "Can you tell me what you saw?" I whispered into her hair. She hiccuped and sniffled against my chest, he grip tightened on my arm and I knew she didn't want to talk about it. "You don't have to tell me right now," I said, stroking her hair, "you can tell me later." I looked at the clock in the hallway, it was 12:57pm, three more minutes till passing period. We have to get out of her before that. I picked her up, walked into the nearest empty classroom and plopped down on a chair, slowly cradling her on my lap, "It's okay." I whispered to her. We stayed this way for a while, passing period had gone by and luckily n
Alex’s POV 2 weeks passed and we hadn’t talked or even exchanged glances and to be completely honest, I’ve been sleeping better ever since the break up, much better, I haven’t had nightmares and I don’t see his scars open up, but I’d be lying if I said he was doing good too. He always came into class either late or hungover and sometimes both, till he got suspended. We’re graduating soon so he shouldn’t be acting like this. I couldn’t help but think this was my fault but I just wanted him to put himself first. Emma stormed into the classroom and stopped right in front of my table, “You fucking bitch,” she yelled. “Miss Rodriguez.” the teached exclaimed. Emma ignored him and continued to glare at me, “It’s not my fault, he-”
Alex’s POV A whole week had passed after that night, there was nothing from Asher, call, text, nothing. I texted him to apologize but he never got back to me, I called so much that his voicemail box filled up and he still hadn't gotten back to me. I hope he's okay. The teacher walked in briskly and pulled down the projector screen before moving over to her computer and typing aggressively, practically the whole class could hear it. "Ms. Brown, you're gonna break that if you don't calm down." Noah jested and the whole class laughed, even me. She looked at us and back at the computer, unbothered by his comment, we were about to graduate anyways, so the teachers could give a crap about teaching us anything. A few minutes into the period and Emma bursts into the classroom and pulls me out with her, "Excuse us." she said to the tecaher before we left. "Have you heard from Asher at all?" she asked.
Asher's POV Mmmm... it's been so long since I held her like this. I wrap my arms around her waist, pulling her closer to me as I delved in her taste, "I missed you so much." I whisper into her mouth. She broke the kiss, staring into my eyes and she smiled a very infectious smile, a smile that cut deep into my heart, before she kissed me again. ** We laid in bed together, making out for what seemed like an eternity until I finally broke away and turned to lay on my back. She moved in next to and rest her head on my arm while slowly tracing the scar across my chest. "Is it just me or is make up sex so much better?" she asks. I laughed, "Then maybe we should fight more often-" "No," she immediately says, "Not like that," she stared up at me, "never like that." "I was just kidding." I assured her and kissed her forehead. Now that we're back together, I feel like the worst is over. "What are you gonna do abou
*Monday*Alex's P.O.V*Phone rings*"Hello, who's this?" I answered the phone without looking at the caller ID, "ALEX!!!" Turns out I didn't need to check who the caller was because I already knew."Ow Zoe, you know I can hear you already, right?" I asked while putting the phone to my other ear."Are you ready yet? We have to be at school in like, 15 minutes, do you have a ride?" She says ignoring the fact that she might have just burst my eardrums."Calm down, I just need to put on my shirt and my brother's my ride." I say then she hangs up.
Alex's P.O.VWhere am I running to? Anywhere, anywhere is better than where I just was, my running cane to a stop and I find myself in front of the soccer field. I spot Zoe and the others, it seems tryouts haven't started yet, I need to calm myself before going over to meet them, my ear still tingles, my body feels hot, it's throbbing all over and no matter how hard I try, I can't seem to catch my breath, what did Asher do to me?Cole's P.O.V*Gasp*Alex stopped walking, I hope nothing's wrong, maybe I should check."Cole, baby, you need to get to the tryout." Amanda pulls me back towards the field.Damn, I wonder what
