Dedication.
To my mother Elizabeth, who will never be able to read any of my works, see me graduate, tell me how proud she is ; even yell at me for the smallest things but most of all my once upon a time biggest fan from the first time I learnt how to write ABC.
18.01.1978 - 05.04.2018The little boy raced into the opening of the Ritz-Carlton hotel. This was something he did everyday after his teacher Mrs. Daniela dropped him off at his mother's work place. Yes, he attended one of the most expensive schools in New York. Yes, he attended Piano lessons every Wednesdays with Mrs. Calisto, Yes he also took French classes. Yes, he had everything any six year old could ever want and yes his mother provided all that from Maids salary.
"Hey Tim." The boy greeted the man at the front desk of the five star Ritz-Carlton restaurant.
"Hey buddy, good day at school ?" Tim asked giving the little boy with blonde hair and blue eyes a warm smile.
"Yep, my math teacher says I'm a genius when it comes to addition." The little boy grinned widely.
"Your mom will be so happy, hey. Now go sit over there with Cal while you wait for your mother. Tell him to make strawberry milkshake for the genius huh ?" Tim said ruffling the little boys hair who nodded and excitedly ran over to the bar area. He was used to the hotel. His mother worked so many shifts and she didn't trust leaving her child with a stranger plus the manager allowed her to bring Leondre to work. Above all it saved money.
_____He had been waiting for his family to arrive for over twenty minutes. His mother would surely take her time to look good seeing as she was the famous Jeanine Levetté. The famous French model in the good old days, everyone admired her in the fashion industry. She had her own fashion line, she had even been a judge on America's next top Model. At the age of fifty-four Jeanine was still calling all the shots and setting trends. His Father was a different story. Benjamin Levetté was the most down to earth man. You would always be graced by his presents at charity events of any kind. He was the owner of the Levetté wine company which had been passed down from generation to generation and now Andre was the one in charge. His family was the most successful family in Hollywood. His brother was his own person Luc Georges Levetté was a party animal. He always brought bad publicity for the Levetté family, first dropping out of college, crashing sports cars and damaging property... he seemed to always be up to something. The twenty-two year old was just out of control.
Andre turned to his left and saw a little boy eagerly drinking his strawberry milkshake. He was smartly dressed in his grey pants and a dark blue blazer. It seemed he was coming from school, Andre thought but who would leave a little boy in this huge Hotel all alone.
"Hey Mister." The little boy said with a smile.
"Are you bored like me ?" The blonde haired boy gave Andre a quirky smile with his teeth missing.
"Uhm just waiting for my family to arrive." He replied. He wasn't good with kids, he tried not to seem cold.
"Sounds nice, I get lonely sometimes. It's just me and my mom." Leondre said anxiously.
"What about your father ?" Andre asked his acquaintance, he seemed to act too mature for his age.
"My father left my mom when I was still in the stomach." The boy said seeming unbuffered by his own words. Andre felt bad infact he felt pity for the little boy so when he saw his family walking into the room, he felt bad leaving him alone. The little boy had mentioned that he would get lonely at times.
"Do you want to join me and my family for dinner ?" Andre asked. Leondre's face instantly lit up. He couldn't believe this stranger had invited him over to their table. His mother always said don't talk to strangers but he thought making conversations with strangers no longer made them strangers and therefore he wasn't doing anything wrong.
"Yes, thank you Mister." Leandre grinned grabbing his milk shake.
"Call me Andre." He replied giving him a gentle smile.
"Okay Mister Andre." Leondre replied making Andre smile to himself. This little boy seemed to be the most respectful kid he had ever met. He wasn't a fan of kids but if he had a kid who acted this matured he sure wouldn't mind.
_____
When the family was all sitted, Andre's mother was shocked. Who was the little blonde haired boy sitting besides her son. The similarities were just too much... they had the same blonde hair, the same blue eyes even their pointy aristocrat nose, and their pouty lips. They were a splitting image of each other, she thought. He possibly couldn't have any relation with the Levetté family could he? Della was not pregnant when they kicked her out of their home. She didn't seem pregnant, she never mentioned being pregnant.Della could not have been pregnant?!
"Andre who is your little friend ?" Mr. Levetté asked giving the little boy a polite smile which he returned as a nice gesture."Oh papa, I just met him today. He was sitted alone at the bar, his mom is working so I invited him over for dinner. Hopefully you don't mind ?" Andre explained picking up the menu.
"He is a cutie, Hey young man I'm Ben, Andre's father." Mr. Levetté introduced himself.
"I'm Leondre nice to meet you Mister Ben." Leo said shaking Mr. Levetté's hand stunning everyone on the table with his very good manors.
"What a gentleman." Jeanine smiled at the little Blondie. Deep down she still felt skeptical. She feared her worst fear could be coming to life. Della could not have been pregnant..
"I'm Luc, Andre's brother." Luc gave him a smirk.
"Nice to meet you all." Leo grinned. It was nice that he would spend his evening with a family. He was tired of watching families converse while he sat alone waiting for his mother. He didn't mind, he knew she worked hard for him to get everything he wanted. He appreciated it.
___
Once the food had been served, Leo told them all about himself. They thought he was a very interesting fellow. The Levetté's dinners or gathering had never been this graceful."Your parents must be super rich if you go to Roosevelt Private International School ?" Jeanine asked Leo as she took a sip from her wine. She couldn't help but feel like she was talking to six year old Andre even his gestures were odd. From the way he ate to the way he talked.
"No, my mom works here at the hotel and I don't have a father. He left my mom when I was in the stomach." Leo said absent-mindly.
"Poor kid." Luc muttered under his breath.
"Not everyone needs a father, my mommy is both." Leo said shocking everyone on the table with his intelligence. He spoke like a adult.
"That's quite true, Leo." Ben said proud of the little boy; he had only came to know twenty-minutes ago.
"What else do you do ?" Luc asked.
"I play piano on Wednesdays and Soccer on Saturdays. Sometimes I read books with my mom, she wants to be a writer. When she publishes her book, we will be very rich then we can go to Disney land." Leo replied, with so much enthusiasm.
Something seemed to hit a nerve in Andre's body, he remembered his ex wife Adela McCarthy. She was an aspiring writer but had not published anything yet. He would read some of her rough drafts whenever they had some time alone together besides all the lovemaking they did in the bedroom. Well that was until she betrayed him, She had cheated, deceived him and stole from him and his family. He needed to forget about her.
"Mister Andre-" Leo took him out his daze. He had zoned out. It had been so long since he saw his family laughing. It seemed Leo was a blessing in disguise.
"There is my mother." Leo pointed at the woman with black jet hair and a curvy petite body in a black and white maid uniform. She was approaching them. The atmosphere seemed to become tense as she took a few more steps towards their table. Andre saw all the memories flash in front of him, from when they met at Starbucks, their first date, the engagement, the wedding, the divorce. It all happened so fast.
Jeanine was beyond shocked. She knew this was her grandson it had to be. Della never cheated, she planned it and framed her. Jeanine was just doing what was best for her son ;Andre. Ben and Luc looked at the cheating woman whom they used to be fond of but not anymore.
____
Della was done with her shift. Tim had told her that Leo was sitted at the bar having his milkshake. She smiled as she was about to pay. Tim insisted.."No, it's on the house Della, for my favorite little man." She thanked him before heading off to look for her son.
Della missed him so much. He was her little Angel. She loved him to bits, Leo was all she had after being humiliated by the Levetté family. She promised herself she wouldn't cross their paths again. They weren't exactly people, whom she wanted her son to associate with. When he was older he could decide if he wanted to look for his father but for now it was best he stay hidden from the bad publicity and attention that they brought. One day she had been moaning and squirming under her husbands chest as he made love to her every chance he got. The next thing he was telling her that he didn't love her. The press wrote all sorts of stories about how she cheated with Andre's business partners and laundered a large amount of money from the Levettte family. Jeanine had thrown her out like a dog. It all seemed like a life time ago but she learnt to forgive and move on. She didn't have any grudge against them. Everything happened for a reason and maybe this was her fate. She just wanted to give her son the best life she could possible.
She gracefully walked towards Leo's direction. She was shocked when she saw the familiar faces, it had to be a dream. Andre looked at her with anger as if he had seen a ghost. Jeanine looked beyond shocked but Ben and Luc had mutual expressions.Leo hugged her then he turned back to the Levetté family. "Mommy, I made a new friend this is Mister Andre, he invited me over for dinner with his family. He is so nice Mommy." Leo said in an excited voice.
"Uhm that's great sweetie." Della awkwardly sidled avoiding Andre's gaze. Jeanine looked at her with an expressionless look. This just had to be karma on her part. She never thought they would see each other again.
"Oh that's nice. Leo why don't you thank this nice family for letting you sit on their table." Della raised her eyebrow at Leo who turned around looking at the family. "Thank you for letting me sit with you but now I have to leave now. My mom is done with her shift." Leo explained, Della couldn't wait for them to go away. She had never imagined that she would be in such a position.
"It was a pleasure having you around little man." Mr. Levetté replied gracefully acting normal.
"Bye Leondre." Luc replied. He had infact taken a liking to the little guy.
"Where's your satchel?" Della asked her son who quickly ran to where he had been sitted at the bar."Thank you." Della said before leaving. Leo grabbed his bag then told his mom all about his day at school and how he kept answering all the answers in math class. Della's mind was still stuck on the events that had occurred before her. Hopefully they would just think since she cheated and it wasn't Andre's son.
Hopefully. To say he was shocked was an understatement. The little boy was her ex-wife's son. Karma finally caught up with her and she got pregnant he thought. After all the cheating and prostituting, how could she not ? He paced back and fourth in his office. He thought about how much different, her uniform was way longer than the other maids at the hotel. She seemed calm and not angry about anything. It made him angry that she acted innocent. It had been a week and he still couldn't get her off his mind. He dreamt about all the things they used to do, he thought about her smile and how she would speak Spanish to him whenever he spoke French. He thought about Adela McCarthy, the woman who broke his heart.___Della made her way to the Levetté company, the building was huge. It hadn't changed a bit. It intimidated her, everyone seemed to be dressed all professional while she was in a sun dress and flats... her hair tied in a high bun. Jeanine had called her for a meeting, she mentioned it being
"I heard everything." Andre sighed looking at his father who was also appalled by what his son had told him."I have a son with Della and mom was willing to keep him away from me." Andre looked at the view in his office that was on the twenty-sixth floor."What are you going to do then?" Benjamin Levetté asked."Della." was the only thing he muttered. He had not trusted her instead he listened to his mother and hurt her beyond all reason."You still love her?" Andre's father questioned."How could I not, Papa? She was my first love." He said in an exasperated sigh. He remembered how beautiful she looked on their wedding day. She wrote him the perfect vows that made the audience cry. Himself, he even felt as though his vows couldn't be compared to hers but he said them anyways she loved them. Their wedding night, she was a virgin and he took that from her. He became addicted to her, Andre loved Della so much. He found himself not wanting to leave for work every morning. Della was perfe
Chapter 4 -- Quatre. He looked at her beautiful face as her eyes slammed closed when he thrust into her. She let out a moan cursing incoherent words. Her lips seemed so inviting, he pressed his lips on top of hers. He could never get used to the feeling of being inside her, from their wedding night ;he knew he was hooked. He loved her with his heart and soul. She was the woman of his dreams, Della was the woman whom he would spend the rest of his life with.He gave her slow deep strokes continuously and she arched her back enjoying the feeling of her husband being deep inside her core. She loved him so much, he made her feel special every single day and night which is now. She opened her eyes and let out another moan while looking into his sparking ocean blue eyes. She let her hands hang loose around her husbands shoulders. After an amazing time, they both reached their climax. "I love you so much chéri." Andre whispered as he put a strand of her brunette hair behind her ear. She blus
Chapter 5 -- Cinq."I told him that Leo wasn't his child." Della said putting the new bed covers for one of the hotel suites."Did he believe you?" Mila asked curiously fixing the unmade bed. They were both in their maid uniforms, they had been friends ever since Della started working at the hotel four years back. Mila was also a Latino which made it really easy for them to be friends. Having the same language and very much same interests. Mila knew everything that had happened to her best friend. The shit her arsehole husband put her friend through. "Everyone knows I cheated, Mila so he has to believe me." Della said in a monotonous tone, she didn't care about alot of things. She hardly got excited for anything unless it had to do with her son. She found zero interest in anything really—"But look, if he said he knows what his mother did that means he knows you are lying." Mila replied after a hard well thought."Even if he founds out what happened? What's the point? We should just
Weeks had passed by, Della was relieved that her worst fear had not come to life. The Levetté family wouldn't meddle in her son's life. She would continue living her life like nothing had occurred some weeks back. Everything would be back to normal. Maybe luck was finally on her side. What Della didn't know was that when her son came back from school and sat at the hotel lobby. He asked Tim if he could use the phone. Leo had held onto the card that Mister Andre had given him two days before. Leo liked Mister Andre alot, he was very nice and they had the same hair like twins, Leo thought."Leo, you want me to call Andre Levetté ?" Tim asked the little boy unsure if he should."Yes, he is my friend. He said I could call him whenever, I needed anything." Leo smiled sheepishly."Is your mother aware of this ?" Tim questioned."No and please please please don't tell her." Leo said giving Tim his puppy dog eyes."Okay fine, only because you helped me ask Veronica out." Tim added thinking b
Chapter 7 -- Sept.Della's manager had informed her that Garreth had booked the royal suite and was requesting to see her. She wondered what could be the problem... She had known the forty-five year old man ever since she started working at the Ritz-Carlton hotel. He was a very nice humble person. Della wondered at first why a rich successful man like him would have any interest in a maid like herself. Garreth said he saw her as family, he mentioned seeing his young sister in her—which Della found very weird.Whenever she needed anything, he was always there for her. Even though she would never accept his money, he offered to sponsor her college fees so she could get her degree in Literature. That, she accepted."Sugar daddy can't seem to get away from you." Mila said sarcastically. It made Della laugh ofcourse that's what it looked like to anyone who didn't know her friendship with Garreth."You know Mila, God can use anyone and anything to help you in times of crisis and I think Ga
Chapter 8 — Heit"I was giving her space but now I won't do that anymore." Andre let out another exasperated sigh."Well, ami don't you think you should sort out the thing you have going on with your son..." Luc replied to his brother who seemed to be in deep thought. Andre's only thought was how close him and his son had grown in the past month. Leo was everything he had ever wanted in a son. He never wanted kids but Leo changed his mind. Being with Leo and seeing Leo made him happy but Luc was right he couldn't continue seeing him behind his ex-wife's back."She will say no." Andre took a sip of his Starbucks latte."He is your son and you have rights to be in his life whether she is okay with it or not." Luc muttered as a matter of fact."Mom took away my rights as soon as she kicked her out of the house and forced her to sign the divorce papers." He paused. "Goodness I can't believe my own mother did what she did. Wasn't it obvious that Della made me happy. I didn't care if she ca
Chapter 9 – Neuf"Is it really necessary for me to come along?" Della asked her father with a sincere expression. "I mean I love working extra shifts and this gala is a great opportunity for that." She explained as Garreth continuously typed on his laptop. After sometime he looked up and gave his new long lost daughter a smile."Adela, i want to introduce you to all my close friends and everyone else who needs to know you are my blood and heir. I will not allow my only daughter to be cleaning up tables while I dine with the upper crust." He said giving her an assuring smile."This is to make up for lost time, my darling you are a McCarthy." He said with a grin on his lips and a glimmer in his grey eyes."I have already sent for Donato Vivaldi to have your outfits for tonight set." Garreth said in an excited tone. Della looked rather confused maybe because she didn't grow up with the beau monde moneyed class. She had always longed to be wanted and loved, of course her abuela gave her t
Chapter 93 - Epilogue. It has been quite the month of blessings. On my part for being given yet another opportunity to converse with probably my favorite family in Hollywood. A blessing on their part for safely bringing two Angels into this world. Speaking of Angel's, Heaven and Nevaeh Levetté are their given names. Yes, Nevaeh is Heaven backwards. Pronounced neh-veh-ah bet you weren't expecting that one now were you? We took to Wikipedia to get a more profound meaning—"An erroneous belief is that the name has an Irish origin, a variation of the name Niamh, which is still common in Ireland today; however, Nevaeh was recently coined and American. First off, the name Nevaeh doesn't have any meaning besides Heaven, so anyone saying it means Hell because it's Heaven spelled backwards is incorrect."Unfortunately I wasn't allowed to snap any images of Heaven and Nevaeh but you can already tell that they will look like they were sun-kissed by God himself. "I came up with Heaven and Andre w
Chapter 92 - I`m a firm believer in fate.Since they reunited, I know everyone has been wondering. When did Della give birth? When was she even pregnant? Is Andre the father? Just one look at the boy and you already know the answer to that one. I had the pleasure of meeting their son, such a sweetheart. He is so kind and playful, hide your boys and girls because I see an epidemic of heartbreak that will be caused by Le-Andre junior."The pregnancy ofcourse wasn't planned." Adela commented."I think it was.." Andre interjected. The couple argued for a bit concerning this topic. I couldn't exactly make out the confirmed truth and yes, this may sound vulgar but.. Adela claimed they weren't planning and Andre claimed he had done what he did purposely.. he just didn't think it would happen that quick."You never told me this.." Adela whispered. I managed to slip in some questions that any curious follower of this story would have wanted to know. They were really nice enough to let me ask t
Chapter 91 - We drank coffee.Life was great, soon after the wedding. The rumors died down. The public and media became a little easier on the newly wedded couple. "I learnt not to care.. about anything or anyone had to say. It was hard but at that point I was tired of trying to prove that I'm a good person or that I have good intentions." Adela commented."My million dollar advise!" Her husband said proudly beside her. It was a beautiful scene with Adela expecting, expecting I found myself swooning over this beautiful couple. They have taken so many shots from the public, media even from their own family and here they're at their happiest. The honeymoon went smoothly. We got some pictures of shirtless Andre and Adela in a bikini. Jealousy aside, they looked so good together. Media suddenly somewhat started writing some 'nice' things about Adela."Yeah, it was always about my body." Adela admitted. "They wished you were theirs.." Andre said defensively.During their first five months
Chapter 90 - I started all the rumors. People Magazine highlights. "To a certain extent I was jealous that my son loved another woman other than his own mother. I don't justify what I did but I hope this helps everyone find closure." Jeanine Levetté "I will always have regrets and one of them was neglecting the woman I love when she needed me the most." Andre Levetté "I'm just happy that the crucial time in my life where I felt hopeless and down has passed. It was the worst but it helped me grow as a person. I'm ready to move on to better memories." - Adela McCarthy Levetté "I'm going to have two sisters." - Leondre Levetté "I'd rather not comment on my brother's business. All I can say is everyone makes mistakes.. even you and I." - Luc Levetté "This is about what my ex-wife did and I was no where involved. I'm just happy it has been resolved." - Benjamin Levetté — Twitter Highlights. #LevetteScandal - If I was Della, I would have left him. periodt. - They love each other
Chapter 89 - It`s just an article. The phrase 'two sides to every story' has never been taken seriously. We jump onto every bandwagon, the cancel culture.. James Charles a true example of how toxic media can be but that's a story for another day. We as 'People Magazine' were the first to cover the Levetté scandal nearly eight years ago. It was a time to be alive, in a world where we thrive off gossip and the shaming of others. It was absolutely honor on my part as a journalist to be given the opportunity to cover the full story.. not the bits and gossip but the true story narrated by everyone who played a role in this frantic event. I'm gonna take you on a rollercoaster but first let's start with the boy we grew up adoring... the teenage heartthrob in our day. Jeanine Levetté and her husband Ben Levetté had always managed to keep their boys away from the media. Jeanine always said when the time was right, we would (fans) all see her kids more often. They loved their privacy even with
Chapter 88 - Marcela if you`re using him "Aww.." Della cooed at the tiny little energetic boy who couldn't stop moving his legs and flipping his arms in all directions. "Alfredo says he will be a soccer player." Mila said softly earning a laugh from her best friend. "He is too energetic.. "I can't keep up with him atleast Alfredo has been staying up all night." "Alfredo is such a sweetheart.." Della added putting Alejandro in a more comfortable position. He rubbed his eyes with his hand in a fist. Della couldn't really whom he would look like but that nose was definitely Alfredo. "He is... oops there he goes again. Hitting himself on the face and scratching himself.. he is only a month old." Mila said with concern. "You should put on gloves or make him wear his tiny socks on his hands. Leo used to do the same thing.." Della advised. "Alfredo says he is a fighter that's why.. i have a feeling he spoil him rotten." "Not if Alejandro has siblings—" she was immediately cut off.
Chapter 87 - My adopted son."I'm only allowing you to stay here because you're like a son to me. Also not ignoring the fact that you might relapse as soon as you walk out of my sight." Garreth said cautiously. "I have a thirteen year old staying here and I swear to God if you influence him or teach him anything... I will not hesitate putting my hands on you.""Thanks, I really appreciate it. Everything... you have done for me." Ignacio said rigid in his stance."Alright.." Garreth said softly. "Everything is all stocked up, I think you want to freshen up. Breakfast is in an hour. I'm bringing a barber to give you a hair cut..."Ignacio ran his right hand through his shoulder length voluminous jet black hair. He knew Garreth was right, he needed to start over. From his hair to his clothing to his attitude towards life."That's if you want to have a hair cut.." Garreth added."I do, I want a new start."Garreth nodded."Has Spencer reached out?""No.." Ignacio replied."If he does, let
Chapter 86 - His name is Alejandro Felipe Molinero. He couldn't quite figure it out.He just couldn't.Maybe it was in the way she smiled widely till her hazel brown eyes closed or maybe the pregnancy complimented her in all the right places; no maybe it was because he was head over heals inlove with this woman. Luc looked where Andre had his eyes glued. Della was just a simple normal woman.. he wouldn't exactly say she was the most beautiful woman, he had ever seen. She was just plain simple, maybe it was her personality or maybe yes, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.Luc nudged his brother who wasn't even watching their soccer match. Ben chuckled, at the scene. Andre couldn't keep his eyes off Della who was in the conjoined room talking humorously on the phone. She didn't even notice—"Ami, why don't you just go join your wife's phone call?" Luc finally broke into Andre's thoughts. Andre shook his head and denied it, concentrating on the Europa Champions League."Luc, don't be s
Chapter 85 - In sickness and health blah blah.Six months into the pregnancy."I'm glad you decided to stay for two more weeks. It gets really lonely out here knowing Luc, he is never home." Ben said as he took a sip of his green tea."Papa but I'm here!" Luc have his father a questioning look feeling offended."It's alright, I like it here so does Leo.. I just hope we return home in time to set up things for the twins.." Della replied."Goodness! Here I was thinking I would never have grandchildren. I'm truly so happy at this point, I don't mind dying. Well after the twins are born..""Grandpa!" Leo said with disapproval."He won't die, he just loves joking around.." Luc added but Leo was still concerned. He had spent so much time with Ben. He had learnt a lot of French phrases but pronunciation was still a big factor sometimes it even hurt to speak. Leo loved the new environment. At one point it had just been him and his mother but now he had two grandpa's, a grandmother, an uncle,
