Chapter 70: she has more emotional strength

Larissa's viewpoint

"Morning, love of my life!" I snorted at Tristan's greeting. Yeah right, he can't fool me. He laughed and wrapped his arms around my waist, resting his cheek on my back. For a thirteen-year-old, he sure is short.

"I hope you enjoyed the new car smell," Tristan slept in my car last night. He wouldn't step out after I drove it in and since I was still having a mental seizure from what happened at Zayne's, I didn't have the energy to deal with him. Dad was already asleep when I returned—thank God.

"You're driving me to school, right?"

"Sure, I'll drop you off. Starliss is coming over to drop my things. She couldn't stop by yesterday. She'll be coming with Odette. Don't be mean to her, she's going through a lot," I didn't have to warn him. Tristan isn't stupid. I tapped his hand, quietly telling him to let me go. Tristan obediently slipped away, mostly because his sandwiches were ready. He took the large plates containing them and headed to the breakfast table.
