Arthur’s POV.Fear stroke me hard this time.I was smart and quick enough to at least take note of the plate numbers of the car.Hurriedly, I reached for my phone and typed it into the phone so as not to forget. I was sure I was going to find out who these people were and why they were after me, but for now, my main priority was to get to Iris and see how she was fairing.I had to get to her through any means and quickly, but I had no idea of how I was going to do that now my car was crushed.I decided to call the my guard to send me a car. Immediately, he picked, and I went straight to the point concerning the main reason I called. He considered my command done with utmost speed. As I sat in his car, negative assumptions hit me hard. These men, these exact ones who tried to harm me. Could they also be after Iris? I never wanted her to be in danger all because of me, and hence I was forced to do all in my power to ensure her safety. I was sure they at least had been following and stal
Iris POVThough my sight wasn't a hundred percent perfect, yet I could see clearly how excited and happy Arthur was seeing that the surgery was successful. At some point, one would think it was his own personal operation and not mine. He couldn't stop chuckling and smiling at the same time. The Doctor was shocked as well, but no one dared say a word against because why not? “Thank you very much, Doctor, you did a very great and excellent job!” Arthur praised the doctor.“ Why, thank you. I'm just doing my job.” The Doctor said courteously, but Arthur was having none of it, as he kept exclaiming.“You did perfect at your job. Do you know how many doctors are out there who can't perform such a complicated surgery successfully?” Arthur asked.“I guess we are all gifted, but in different areas and aspects, don't you think?” The doctor replied.“I agree with you, but you supersede them all, only success is taken note of in the real world, there's no room for excuses or reasons for failure

Arthur's POV"But you look pale and..." Iris began to complain but I shut her up by shoving a tangerine into her mouth. She munched on it as fast as she could while I laughed at her."That's not fair!" She whined."What? The doctor said to ensure you eat lots of healthy food and fruits how is that not fair?, I'm simply taking good care of you." I shrugged."That doesn't mean you should shove those fruits into my mouth! I can eat them myself." She pouted."I don't want you choking on the seeds.""I can see now so I'll get rid of the seeds before eating the fruit."I chuckled as she murmured and grudgingly eat the food that was before her, she kept complaining like a baby that the food was plain and not edible. I enjoyed watching her throw tantrums like a child. She looked more beautiful with the new eyes that she got, it complimented her spotless skin which glowed.Though she had just undergone a complicated surgery yet she looked like an angel, her innocence and beauty awed me, if on
Iris POVMy eyes fluttered open as I heard some voices, it sounded distant and incorrigible at first, but it gradually became more clear and audible. My eyes sting for a second, and I shut them instinctively. Arthur made sure the room was dark, in case I forgot to put on my glasses.I opened them when I was certain that it was safe to, I opened my eyes to see two strange faces hovering above me.“She's awake!” The female squealed. Her high pitch made my eardrums hurt, and my hands flew to my ears to protect my precious babies. I wanted to complain and ask who she was when it hit me that I recognized her voice.“Anna?” I asked in disbelief.“Did you hear that, Kelvin? She recognizes me.” She said excitedly. My eyes flew to the other person, his face was beautifully sculptured, and he looked like a model as he smiled, he wore a friendly smile and had a nice aura around him, unlike Arthur whose aura was commanding, domineering, and insanely addictive. This was Kelvin who talked to me. No
Arthur’s POV. My gaze met with Kelvin conversing with Iris in the ward and anger and jealousy filled my body instantly. I just didn’t like the idea of Iris smiling and being comfy with a male figure other than me. “Kelvin,” I called out and immediately he turned towards my direction to see why I had called him. “Man, can I have a word with you outside?.” “Is it very important?, I am so into this conversation with Iris.” He replied. I boiled in annoyance because of how he replied. “Man! Let’s go!” I commanded with a stern voice this time and my grip firm on his arm. Iris on the other hand stared at us wondering what was happening but I didn’t care, I could make up some stories to feed her with but my main priority at the moment was to see Kelvin. Soon I let go of Kelvin immediately we were out of the ward and before I could catch my breath, he inquired from me with a confused look plastered on his face. “Dude, what the actual fuck was that for?” “I need to talk to you and so
Kelvin’s POVI wondered how Arthur managed with Anna. She was as stubborn as a child. She refused to leave with me as she got to the parking lot where I waited for her.She went on and on suggesting ideas on why we could stay but I continued to explain none of her plans were going to be of help. Her brother, Arthur already made up his mind and there was nothing we could do.Finally, after the series of ridiculous plans from Anna and tons of disapproval from me. Anna eventually decided to go with me.Immediately, she got into the front seat of the car and also entered the driver's part, and zoomed off.For a while, the car was filled with unusual silence. I knew Anna was sad because she was never quiet at any time.“Anna,” I called out.She rolled her eyes at me and gave me no response.“Anna,” I spoke once again, this time I reached for her and tickled her. Soon, sounds of laughter filled the room. She chuckled more and more. On the other hand, I decided to take her to a nearby resta
Iris POVAfter my discharge from the hospital, Arthur kindly offered to take me home. I couldn't stop expressing my gratitude for everything he had done for me during my stay. It wasn't just about taking care of me physically; he had been a pillar of support and had brought joy to my otherwise dull hospital days.As we entered the familiar surroundings of Arthur's mansion, I sighed with relief. His home was where I truly belonged, and now, with Arthur by my side, it felt even warmer than ever. He suggested preparing a meal to aid in the healing of my eyes, and I thought it was a brilliant idea.“Arthur, thank you so much for being there for me,” I said, still feeling overwhelmed by his kindness. He smiled warmly. “It's my pleasure, Iris. You don't need to thank me. I'm just glad you're doing better now.”I insisted on helping him in the kitchen, not wanting him to do everything alone.“No Iris, you don't have to do this, you should be resting now.” he tried to stop me, but I insisted.
